Hey Joel,
Thanks! As much as I'd like large scale, 1/48 just seems to work for my lack of display space, and my temperament.
To get kits in the mail, you gotta order em, mate. In this case, I needed a tool, and ended up surfing the site for a bargain to save on future postage. I've also bought kits off EBAY with no problems so far. *knock on wood*

Gary,
90% of my kits and supplies come from online resources, but are a drop in the bucket to the never ending stream of bills we keep on getting.

I hear ya brother. I get bills, too but I'm at the stage where I've found a long lost love (this hobby) so I let myself get away with some stash building. For a long time working on this house became like a hobby though I began to hate every minute of it. I'm just getting back to the stage where I can consider picking up my tools again.

It's big...
Came with Fat Man, Little Boy, and Hamilton Standard Props on their own sprue.
The box is dated, 2012 so the decals blissfully aren't yellowed, yet.

Gary,
Good thing from your earlier post that you're getting back to working on your house, as that kit will need a room of it's own
. Like you, for years on end our house was my only hobby and 2nd job. For a one year old house when we bought it, it has consumed every saved cent and then some on improvements, upgrades, replacements, and the list goes on and on. Now that I'm back into the hobby once again, I really have slacked off on my house hobby/responsibilities, but I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things. Especially, since my loving wife never lets me forget about my slacking off.

Terri,
Nice collection for a winters build list. I imagine it really does get cold up your way compared to LI, NY which is still way to cold for me.
This year I built my 1st 1/32 scale kit, the Special Hobby's F2A-3 Buffalo. For 2016 I'm looking at the Kingfisher, and HP's P-51 B/C, so I will need a Tamiya P51-D to seat right beside it. Naturally, I can't wait for your build of the Trumpy P-51B to set the mood.

Hi Luciano,
nice haul! I better will not show what I bought on Telford .. well at least no Aircraft model kit. I got a few kilogramm of books and aftermarket stuff though.
What do you think of the URAL?
I bought the cargo bed one when it first came out. IMHO it is more or less a "guided" scratch build so I shelved it. (quotations because you are left hanging in several steps when measures are missing or you cannot really see on the photos what is going on)
all the best

Hi Steffen, the instructions on the Ural could be better but I think they are not as bad as some I've seen, it may be down to building resin ships but I've got used to vague instructions. Overall they appear clear enough, time will tell when I come to build it.

Hi again
I collected a couple of goodies from the sorting office yesterday - Aérojournal Special #22, courtesy of Caraktère - Presse & Editions:
and Hasegawa's beautiful big Hayate:
I've wanted the latter for ages, and at less than £30 inc. P&P direct from Japan, how could I resist?!

I couldn't pass this combo up. I am thinking of an F6F-5P with open gun bays and the engine on display. Not sure what to do with the F6F-3 yet. It's a nice set of kits, but I think they could have picked better marking schemes. I don't plan to use any of them for either kit.

Some more Eduard. Sprue Bros. has the newest dual cobras on sale for $29.99 at the moment, I couldn't pass it up. Unlike the Royal Class Hellcat, this one has some really interesting marking options.

Paul,
I have the Eduard Duel P-39 over New Guinea kit, which was a great deal even though I paid $40 at my LHS last year. Hopefully, one day I'll find the time to build at least one of them. Of course a P-39 campaign would be just the thing to get me to actually build one or both.

Hi again
A modest haul here, but a useful one.
All via Amazon, I bought the Tamiya putties direct from Japan (and they even arrived with an origame swan!), and the fine-line masking tape from Jammy Dog:

Paul nice purchase on the P-39.
Paul and Joel, little plug, I have a Guadalcanal campaign running, hosted on model shipwrights but open to all. P-39 / P-400 are welcome.

Fantastic deliveries everybody - I'm really quite jealous.
This arrived today, all via Ebay
and beside the kit some useful things. Unfortunately without any origami
BTW Robbie, I love those Airfix Multi-Kits.

For well more then a year, I've entered ebay auction after auction trying to win a Accurate Miniature's SB2U-3 Vindicator. I've been out bid or over bid at least 6 times. So when my brother emailed me that there was a SB2U-3 listed for "buy now" @ $45 plus $10 shipping, I jumped on it, as the auction winning bids have always been substantially higher. Paid with PayPal, and the arrived in just 4 days by priority mail.
Plans are to do the kit scheme from the Battle of Midway.

Looks like I am not the only one who shops the ebay hobby shop and have the same frustration. Oh btw, I never did bid on that kit so it was not me
Grats on your victory

Hi again
It's "easy come, easy go" on my latest purchase from Amazon:
I bought four of these as paint-organisers for my workshop, but made the mistake of opening the box at my Oxfam shop... needless to say, they've been hijacked for sales displays! Whether I ever get them back remains to be seen, but at £7.49 each (holding around 30 bottles) they should make quite decent and economical workbench additions one day (hopefully
).
All the best
