got the decals for the edgar brooks campaign, just need to decide which ones to use... 41 schemes !
From a totally impartial and unbiased position, I think you should do Clive Caldwells aircraft!
That looks like an amazing set of options, nice pick-up!

Hi again
Dohh! I think my "present to me" arrived a day too late for Christmas - there was a note from Postie waiting on the doormat when I got home from work yesterday. No matter - it can be a New Year's present.
What has arrived, though, is a great range of new cockpit details from Airscale, and a really useful Helping Hand from a colleague at Oxfam.
All the best
Rowan

Hi Robbie
Wow! That does look worth waiting for!
Postie's back in action here on the Island and delivered a great package of resin goodies, courtesy of Roy at Barracuda Studios:
If anyone's building the new Airfix 1:72 Shackleton or their classic 1:24 Mossie and would like to Review Roy's upgrades - drop me a line.

Hi again
I'll kick off the New Year with a very neat book that I treated myself to from Steve Ginter:
It'll be big help when I tackle Special Hobby's
Guardian one day - and, for anyone planning to fit out that empty rear cabin (I'm not - because the work will be hidden) it's totally indispensable.

Hi Terri
Yes - my colleague Denise at Oxfam could hardly have chosen a better gift for a modeller.
Talking of Oxfam - forgive me if I take a moment to make a shameless plug.
Karl very generously sent me a pack of Press'nSeal and refused to accept any payment so, instead, I made a donation to Oxfam with an
Unwrapped Voucher:
If you're ever stuck for an idea for a gift - or just want to do a bit of good generally - they are a great way to help people in need.
Many thanks Karl - I'm really looking forward to experimenting with Press'nSeal!
All the best

Paul,
Now that's quite a haul. Any particular reason why the Paasche H for priming? Is it because of the .7 or 1.0 needle and cones?

That's pretty much exactly why, Joel. I have seen many here including yourself praise the single action for covering larger areas or monochrome finishes, so I figured I'd ask for one for Xmas. I plan to use the H for priming or spraying larger sections, and use the Iwata for doing detail work like panel lines and post shading. My Iwata has a 0.35 needle so its a pain to do large jobs.

That's a super haul Paul, and I've got just the place for you to go with one of those Jugs! 😉
The Paasche H is all I've ever owned and I use it for everything. I just play with the thinning and pressure to get the fine work done.
Cheers, D

Hi there
Wow! Stunning hauls all 'round!
@ Primorska - Wicked! You can't go wrong with a Harder & Steenbeck - I always reckon they have the best trigger action of any airbrush I've used (the closest I've found is Iwata's TR-0, reviewed
HERE). Beautiful pieces of kit.

Another order came in from Ultracast ...
For one of my Tamiya 32 scale Mustang it just has to be decked out with more detail so for that I got
Barracuda's Cockpit sidewall , Instrument panel , Cockpit up-grade , Late seat without belts . It didn't stop there and I also pick up RB's radiators . These sets are really impressive ! Still filled with Mustang fever ( there is no cure for this either ) Just couldn't have the 48 scale family feeling left out . Would feel pretty damn crappy if I did so I order this as well in 48 scale ...
Barracuda's wheels x 4 . 2 in oval tread , 2 in hex tread . Ultracast's P-51d wheel well doors x 2 , Cuffed prop and spinner x 4 , correct detail flaps x 4 . One always needs more marking options so AM decal sheet wa added 48479 ( Angels playmate , short fuse salle and scat ). Going to need to pick up a few more kit's ...
It didn't stop there either . Trumpeter P-51b 32 scale kit has crappy tires so Barracuda's tires and wheel hubs are now added to the box .
This is when Tamiya's corsair started crying ....what about me ...so to make them happy Vectors Cowl and Flaps x 2 and Ultracast Corsair wheels diamond tread x 2
Still more to add here ....
From Hannant's ( still waiting for it to come in ) PE needs to be added so I ordered Eduards PE set for the P-51D x 2 and one for the P-51B x 1 ( have one set already ) and of course the Corsair's started again so one for the 1a and one of the 1d version . This is when Revell's new Fw 190 F-8 in 32 scale had a huge spaz section so in order to make it happy Eduards big sin set part 1 and 2 were added to the order .

Hi Gary
You really shouldn't fear them - good one's are a pleasure to build and no more challenging than other limited-run kits (sometimes a lot less so).

Rowan,
My hand to eye coordination isn't the best. Extended periods or lengths of cut have always been problematic. I think I'll stick to styrene.
Best Wishes,
Gary
