Hi Terri
Nice haul!
.. Well I'll sure do one or another Fokker, but I cannot say when. At the moment I need to get some spirit back to build anything at all. At least I can do some stuff at my website again so I hope I am on track.
This came today. I took the pic from the sellers shop as I have no space in my kitmaker account left ... need to do some house cleaning
it is a Taiwanese (ROC) fighter/trainer F-CK-1 Ching Kuo (I.D.F. stands for Indigenous Defence Fighter ) ... Kit has some shape issues, but there are not many out there .. maybe the new AFV Club egg plane is more accurate. There are some cool camo schemes for this birdie...

He's right looks like a cross between the two. I'm a but surprised it doesn't say USAF Jet Trainer in the bottom border.

Hi there
An interesting set of samples arrived today from The Airbrush Company:
I was expecting the Regia Aeronautica LIfeColors, but everything else is a surprise. The Weathered Wood set is intriguing and the rotating plate will definitely be useful. The Com-Art varnish? Well, that's totally new to me, so I'll test it on Eduard's Fw 190D today.
All the best

Hi again
Just a quick update - the Com-Art varnish is brilliant stuff! It's pre-thinned to airbrush straight from the bottle and dries quickly to a hard gloss finish. Just pour back what you haven't used. Clean-up with acrylic thinners, Medea cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
All the best

Hi Luciano and Mark
yes it was developed with "a little" help from the friends overseas. just check wikipedia (or your favorite source) for the full story. I am still undecided if i should try to fix a few shape issues or if I should just enjoy a simple build (and pester myself later for not doing the correections ... darn AMS)
Today I got another entry for my Osprey AoA collection -- still need to fill a lot of gaps:

Hi Steffen
Do you fancy doing a review of that IDF fighter? - it looks a great subject that is otherwise unlikely to get covered.
This was my little haul for the month from Model Hobbies:
I shouldn't really be buying anything, but I bounced myself into doing the Bf109V-13 conversion for the upcoming Campaign and my old Stash is still boxed up from leaving London - and the Halberstadt? Well, it seemed silly to buy just one kit(!) it's my birthday in a month's time, so let's just call it an early present!
All the best

Hi Rowan
Really, I have a huuuuuge backlog and some own reviews to write for the IPMS D Website, Journal and FR so I cannot cope with another review (esp. as I have no material about it)
cheers

Hi Steffen
No worries - I can absolutely sympathise with that. Concentrating on building something for a change means I've got a rather naughty backlog of reviews to type out too...

Hi Rowan
I am not going into details, but lets just say I am having a hard time since a few months, so I am glad I can (finally) focus on some website stuff again....
here is what came today.
just ordered 4 more yesterday. prices are quite good at the moment(Amazon market place) and I got a few euro left ...
Still need to buy the Fw190D books by Jerry Crandall ... sadly no way I can spare that much money at the moment ...
all the best

Hi Steffen
I'm really sorry to hear things have been bad lately - I sincerely hope they pick up for you very soon.
I had a chance to flick through Jerry's Dora Vol. 2 when I went up to London the other week. It is absolutely stunning! Definitely on my "to buy" list when I (hopefully) earn some cash one day...
Meanwhile, Postie's been busy again! This time it's a nice package from Eduard via Jean-Luc (cheers J-L ). I really will have to get off my bottom and start catching up with Reviews!
All the best
