Hi again
A great new guide to building the Wingnut Wings Gotha arrived from Albatros Productions! I'll get cracking reviewing it, but suffice to say I think it will be essential reading for anyone tackling the kit - or the Hippo 1:48 Gotha for that matter:
I picked this up today at my local model shop:
It looks a neat kit and has some interesting features, but I'm looking forward to the Spitfire experts getting to grips with it, dimensions-wise, because the nose is very different from the old Aircraft Modelling International quarterscale plans of the Mk. XII, and about 2.5mm shorter than the Aeroclub converversion...
All the best

Hi all,
That's what I've got today...
I couldn't resist purchasing at least one of the new WNW kits. I chose the H-B W.29 because I didn't had one in my collection and because there is no rigging to do on this aircraft, like the Junkers J1. The Renard book is about a very interesting Belgian WWII fighter prototype.

Hi there
Hot off the press today from SAM Publications is this new book on the Corsair:
I've only had a chance for a quick browse, but it's already looking excellent. Full review to follow soon.

Hi again
OK - not from Postie, but a little treat to myself from the LHS:
Incredibly good value at under £20, but sadly (if predictably) moulded in horrid red styrene.
All the best

Hi Rowan,
Great minds think alike, I have picked up one from the Yeovilton model show, for £18, how are Revell making any money (not that I'm complaining).

Hi all,
This is what I've received recently...
The book I've purchased for the ZM Ta 152 kit and the Fire Engine will be a nice color touch in every Russian WWII diorama.

Also I got my Hs 126 exterior set finally yesterday and Karayas Halberstadt Cl.IV (Rol.).

Hi Jean-Luc and Steffen
It's a gorgeous book - I think you'll find it really useful.
I really like the look of the little fire engine. I might treat myself to that for my birthday this month.
As for Postie's latest delivery to Castle Aeroscale, it's a case of "Curiouser and curiouser!" as Alice in Wonderland might say:
The package is from CB Model Products, so something tells me there's another of Chad Bowser's ingenious tools lurking inside.
All the best

Maybe not quite from the postman but it's a sample from Tenzan provided to me on the festival in Bytom for the review on Aeroscale. I hope to get it done as soon as possible. Although it's a 1:72 scale the model has surprisingly high wingspan... First impression: positive.

Hi again
Two nice packages from Postie today. The latest samples courtesy of Albatros Productions:
and the first of my birthday presents (this one's from my brother)
More goodies are on the way - and the cover of Windsock is a clue what one of them is. Talk about excellent timing!

Hi Rowan
not knowing when exactly your b-day is (I forget such things easily), I wish you all the best ... live long and prosper!
My guess you'll get Fly's 48 scale Roland (hmm, think I am biased)
BTW did I mention it's Miguary
Today I got my loooong awaited subscriber edition of Eduards MiG and one overtrees box. Think I will put the silver boxing on my small collectors pile and the others to my large "planning to build" pile ... talk about sheds for model kits Hope I can setup my flat soon so I have some spare motivation for modelling such projects.
all the best
