Nice one Andy!

Are you allowed to start preparing your Review of the Ar 196, or do you have to wait until Christmas to officially open it? I'm itching to get one of these beauties myself, but there's no sign yet in my local model shop.

All the best

No I'm allowed to review as its not an Xmas pressie, but I keep drooling over it and the plastic has got all wet .
A review will be forthcoming, hopefully by the weekend.

A pressie from a friend,, and a friend with a sense of humour no less!
1:700th scale P-47s are included in this set of USAAF fighters.

Now if I can only see them, I might build them!
Oh yeah,, 5ltrs of isopropyl alcohol too,,,my regular biannual bulk buy of acrylic thinner

Just got to decide which to build first.

Hello Mr. Martin

You MUST build the Avenger in F.A.A. markings first

Now you've really given me something to think about ,I hadn't even thought about a F.F.A. scheme. I just happen to have the paint left over from my F.F.A. Hellcats I compleated before christmas.

Thanks Nick

Hi Rowan,
You know my address .
If its anything like their other 110's, it will be rather nice.
You must have nearly every version of the 110 now .

Nice haul everyone

I also got some stuff over the last weeks. The Sea Vixen and the Alpha Jet are samples, I paid for the rest ... and today I got (paid) the bill for the new KC holder book from Start verlag.

Some nice stuff. The Sea Vixen is a beauty (from the tooling side) looking forward to some stuff from Barracuda (Roy Sutherland). The Alpha Jet is great too. Some bubbles on the fuselage cast blocks. But very fine panel lines and there is a bunch of possibilities as many of the originals are still (or again) in service (e.g. Canadian at Cold Lake) my favorite would be a Togolaise machine but I go with a green German wrap around for this one)

The rest might be of lesser interest for most Aeroscalers, coblestone road and railway tracks from Verlinden, Wespe tracks and German tank crew (Squad 48) from Track48. Scale Fanatic Rail way underpass (great model!). Some heki grass and I got the Revell set for a 5er...

all the best

A couple of items arrived last week. First I received this handy book:

And this beast from Tamiya! I always wanted to build one of Tamiya's big birds and finally mustered to collect the necessary funds (I know Steffen that it is the wrong scale but this will only be the second time that I venture out of the 1:48 scale)

Cheers,

Hermann.

In addition to the usual paints and sanding sticks etc, these followed me home from the IPMS Bolton show yesterday.
