Thanks for the info mate. I may just paint it slightly different deck blue then wear away some small areas of blue with a cotton bud moistened with alcohol....

You may be right, I may be crazy.

Hi again
A very exciting package arrived today! It might not look much, but it's full of the latest Vector Hs 126 and P-61 resin sets, kindly sent by Sergey Kosachev! The P-61 goodies will be on their way to Australia forthwith...
While I was out this afternoon, I couldn't resist visiting my local hobby shop... and look what I found!
That'll really be my Christmas present, but I thought I'd better grab it while the going was good!
All the best
Rowan

Hi Steffen
I can't take another pic tonight because I've cleared all the paraphernalia away. But the box is pretty big - approx 50 x 32 cm.

Hi everyone, well I finally got my entry for the civil air campaign in. Actually had my LHS order it for me to avoid the shipping charges. Says something about the state of the economy here that it took me 2 months to save for a $15.00 (USD). Also bought a bottle of Tamyia XF-4 (yellow zinc chromate).

I went to get some X-mas presents and went to the hobby shop to see whether Revell's 1/42 Ar-196 was available... I came back with this one

I thought it was a new mould but as soon as I opened the box it reminded me an article seen on a magazine dated 1997, where they built a Dragon model... and in fact IT IS the Dragon mould!
The parts look very detailed and PE parts are quite nice (only the seatbelts are missing) and pre-formed PE parts to make the engine hinges moveable are included. Has anybody got more info on the original kit? How does it build up?
