Stephen,
Just to add, if you are including current or existing builds, I have the SE5a 85% done and the LVG about 50% done (stealth bulding). I know Mark has his LVG too.

Stephen,
I have quite a lot of references for the FE2b and Gotha. I'll probably pick one of these (actually, probably both). I'm gonna build them anyhow so I'll be glad to do them for the Campaign.

I will do a SE5a, unless the new batch appears. If they become available, a D.VII or a D.Va.

LOL Nico, now that's so kind of WNW to let slip absolutely NOTHING!..... nice try though.
I'm just hoping my Roden DIII OAW gets done before hand or I may find myself buying 2 DVs to cannabalise the wings and such for the DIII.... If I had the money

Lets see. If the main office is in the dark about release dates that means that the kits may already be in the boxes awaiting shipment . . .but. . .what would hold them back? The number of kits from the first issue still instock? Waiting for the beginning of the third quarter? Christmas shopping season? The world economy to bounce back? Waiting for the fever pitch to hit a specific point on the "where is that kit" scale?
Maybe they will keep them all for themselves? Yes I am a blue meanie aren't I?

Laughs
Seriously though it must be one of those, marketing, or stock levels.
I just hope the wait isnt intercepted by another manufacturer seeing the interest and entering in a DML/Trumpeter/Tristar Race like we see with some of the armour kits and slip a less quality but available kit out before to steal the limelight. Or worse just plain theiving their work.
But I'm sure WNW have this all thought out beforehand, the rotters though keeping us hanging like this. Says the guy with X no of half bulds on the go at once.

Looks like a Gotha to me.
What think you of the RE 8?
A Pup for all seasons.

Now. . .Drum roll please. The Central Powers.
Looks like a late model Schwerin airframe with a 180hp BMW IIIa.
Definately a D.V with the late 170hp - early 180hp Mercedes. Now where is Carl? He wanted to know about this too.

Stephen,
I'm betting Wingnuts will have the Albatros D.V out in plenty of time for me to complete the build before the deadline so count me in as well on this. There are enough LVG's, Junkers, F2B's and SE5a's already in the field.

Surely that's not quite right. OK, the when part seems ot be the big question.
They have announced the next 4 in their Coming Soon page. D.VII, Alb. D.V, RE8, Pfalz D.IIIa
And the May/June issue of Windsock has a two page update and lists the next five (after the first eight) as:
DH2
FE2b
DH9a
Roland DVIb
Brandenburg W.29
Where the Pup and Gotha fit in, however....

It would seem that we have a very important supporter!!
"Hi Stephen,
Thank you for your comments and continued interest in our models.
We think the Aeroscale community Wingnut Wings Group Build is a great idea and I'm sure it will be followed closely by everyone here once it's underway. I do believe we will be able to supply you with a suitable prize for it and I'm sure the winner won't be disappointed.
When we release our next models we will of course be sending our review samples, . . .More information about these will be available closer to the release date.
The photo you sent of our 1/32 Fokker D.VII was of a very early prototype model and was taken at the Classic Fighters airshow in Omaka over the weekend of 11-12 April this year. You can see the original post here;
http://rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Modelling&action=display&thread=8918
The Fokker D.VII will be available in all it's main variations and will include many optional parts to enable modellers to build different machines.
Regards
Richard Alexander
GM of WNW"

Stephen,
So will this build require that we start a kit after 9/1/09 or can we pick up on one we've started already (but, of course, set down to work on something else)? I've got the fuselage together on a Junkers but have an SE5 and F2b unstarted.
