I was wondering about its rear end. It is just a matter of making a few cuts and widening the intakes and rear fuselage. Until Tamiya sees the light and gives us one in 1:32 its the only way to go about it. I will be following your build with a lot of interest. And good choice for decals, the Alcock and Brown scheme is one of my favourites.
I've only ever done one major conversion and that was turning revells 1:72 F-4F into a G. Fairly simple to do and got all the weapons from those hasegawa weapons sets. The only hard part was tracking down a decal sheet, it sat their unpainted for 6 months untill I found a set. Didn't think that part through.
I really should try it more often but I'm fairly well catered for in 1:72.

Hi all,
Ok I have finished off 2 others builds in the past 2 weeks and have made a start on my hobby Boss F-105D Thunderchief. It has an Aires Cockpit and wheel bay sets thrown in which will be a first for me.
I have just started a SBS build log here: https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/172730&page=1#1450397
Cheers,
Mark

A little bit off topic I know, but I thought some of you guys might be able to help with this. I've recently got an old Matchbox 1:72 2-seater E.E. Lightning from a friend, but unfortunatley the canopy has gone AWOL.
Does anyone know if a replacement is made by any aftermarket company and who sells it? I know Aeroclub used to do a vacform but they don't seem to be producing much these days. Even an old one from a junked kit will do.
Thanks in advance.
Meanwhile, I've been working a lot more on my SU-7 and hope to get some pics up by the end of the week.

Great looking Sabre Jaypee Make sure to post a pic or two in the gallery. The Thud is coming along nicely Mark. Have you ran into any issues with your mods as yet? I've got several Thuds on the shelves and want to do one with all the bells and whistles some day. "Q"

Hello all, hope I'm doing this right. My first attempt at this.
I would like to join with a 1/72 Hasegawa F-9F cougar. I started a couple of weeks ago, before I joined this site, so it should be within the time limits, if that's permissable.

Well I tried to upload finished photos, either I don't have the limit or I'm doing something wrong.
Here's what I get clicking on upload photos.
We're sorry, but you currently are over your quota for allowed disk space.
Please remove images from your gallery to free up more space.

Hi Joe.
Do you have a lot of images in the gallery? If so you need to get rid of some to free up some space.
Hope this helps

Well I guess I could, only thing is that dumping the photos will delete the from the progress postings I’ve done over the years. Seems kind of pointless to delete photos each time I need to upload more photos.
I’ll try to go through to see what I can dump. I guess I’ll have to re-think about joining campaigns in the future. There should be a function/feature for the member not being charged uploading photos for campaigns or model of the month.
Happy Modeling,
Joe

I signed up for photobicket's pro account a couple of years ago. $25 a year and I have unlimited storage of photo's. I currently have 86 or so pages of photo's on there with 24 pics per page, so over 2000 at this point. Upload is easy and linking them onto posts is too. Might be something to look into. They have a free account, but it has limitations as to how many times the photo's can be viewed. No such limitation with the pro account. I had the same problem uploading pics onto the kitmaker site. I ran out of room because the size was too great and I didn't have the knowledge to re-size them. New computer, new software etc. I like photobucket, works well for me.

Joe,
That is a drag. I had the same problem a while ago but luckily I never finish anything so it didn't hurt so much to delete stuff
I also make sure I resize (actually resample) everything I post to under 500 pixels on the largest dimension. That seems to be the most efficient size the posts can use anyway and it saves a lot of space.
Matt's idea (of course, since it's Matt ) is also a good one if you have a lot of stuff to post.
Hope this helps!
Michael

I sent you a pm, thanks.
Anyone else who might be interested for now, can check my photos, there are in progress pics of the cougar there.
I am kinda a "tard" about computers sometimes, sorry... I will figure it out sooner or later, God willing.
