Can we have a "Enlist" link?
probably not till ten people commit - this thread is for getting the required number of people to say they would like the campaign before we can get it submitted and then get said 'enlist link'
Vance has it spot on the campaign will not be made live (can only enlist once made live) till 10 people have said yes to joining in this thread, this is the same as it was for your pioneers and record breakers campaign and all other campaign proposals run on Aeroscale. Hopefully more will show there interest in the campaign if I was not already oversubscribed to other campaigns, my day job, doing reviews and features and looking after my horse would have been tempted to join but I can not commit to anything.

This one's got something for everybody. C-39's to C-118s, B-18, B-23, Firebombers, freighters, airliners, even a fighter or two (a C-47 was credited with a Zero during WW II, and Puff was first designated the FC-47 until the fighter jocks whined loudly enough that it was changed to AC-47). Here you go, Richard. Just a few to help generate some interest.
The DC-4 is a very attractive kit, and goes together without requiring master skills. Just a fun type model.
The props are absolutely lovely. I chose to throw in brass shafts for durability:
Painting the small engines with raised cylinders proved little problem. Silver first, then black backing, and grey crank face:
Here's where I'm at; filling and sanding in preparation of primer.
Although, she is being built for a cancer campaign elsewhere, I'm also interested in trying Alclad for the first time. More motivation. I'm looking forward to it.

The C-54s were handsome machines, useful and as reliable and durable as their older sisters. There were thousands and thousands built. Many post-war airlines the world over received Army surplus C-54s and made them over into luxury liners.
It's also impossible to depict a US military air base of any service anywhere between 1940 to 1980 without one or two them.
also, fear no Alclad. I've just recently done a few models in Alclad for the first time, and it really is the best.

I'm in, most likely with another RCAF Dak, but if I can track down the right stuff I'd be interested in a North Star or a C-110 as well.

If I had a kit I would sign up Richard but unfortunately the stash is bare of these aircraft. I think the original idea was/is a good one. Stay with DC-1 - DC-7 only. How many have signed up so far?
