Jonathan, looking forward to following your vacuum build. Honestly, I've never got past the basic stages on the kits I've tried.

Saturn was a very interesting operation. they went all over the world.
Another DC6 Id be interested modeling is World Airways.

...and I think I have four complete Minicraft DC-6/C-118 kits now.

Getting closer to zero hour. Still can't make a final decision on what to build. Leaning towards a 1/48 scale TBD-1 Devastator, but Another Skyraider is always a strong possibility.

I'm with Ben on that. It's making the last week somewhat enjoyable.
Tough to stay focused on my present detailed build project.

Still collecting a few additional after market upgrades for my entry which will be the SWS 1/32 Douglas Skyraider. Right now all my modeling time has been directed on finishing my 1/32 P-47D Jug. As soon as the Jug is completed, is Skyraider time.

Sure looking forward to digging in and get going but the Jug needs to be rolled off the production line and out the hanger door first.

Jessica, thanks so much for the link. I do recall flying a DC-3 as a small child with my family from New York to Miami back in the 50s. If memory serves me correctly, the seats faced backwards for some reason.

I'm guessing Skyraiders and Devastators will be well represented in this campaign. Looking at the stash I can do a Devastator, a Dauntless, and A-20 or an A-26.
Since I'm currently building an A-26 a change would be nice. Its either Devastator, Dauntless, or Havoc/Boston.
Hmmmm....
Cheers,
Fred

Fred, I'm guessing that in the military end of the build spectrum, GWH Devastators, and Dauntlesses will be more then well represented. Don't recall seeing anyone post about a A20 or A26.
