With an open ended time frame I may get something finished
So I'm in, now do I build one of the old DML 1/72 kits an old Revellogram 1/48 or the GWH P-61B they are all in the stash. I think it'll be a DML kit as I'm trying to clear the 1/72 kits out, not many left just DML P-61's, Ar.234's and Do.335's.

Not fair Jessica
After moving house last month and finally getting a bench back I now have a backlog of hangar queens and repairs from heavy handed removals handling to do first, so that may take me up to easter Then I have my personal projects and any group / campaign builds

Good for you. I was offended paying $15 for my Airfix kit, but I wasn't going to touch $99.95 under any circumstances...

Justin, should make for a more interesting Group build. I figure that most of the builds will be one of the night versions with their black paint scheme
I do need to keep my focus on the TBD-1 as I'm now into the beginning stages of painting. Should be ready to rock N roll in a little more then 2 weeks.

Justin, I've figured out where I'm starting, and it's not the cockpit/fuselage. Been gathering more research material then I've ever done before. So I'm going to be stepping carefully, and with smaller steps then I've being building with of late.

I ASS-U-ME you've checked out this Mid Atlantic Air Museum but I'll offer it for having some in-progress shots of the cockpit.

Justin, Just saw your request for cockpit pictures. I to am also using the Mid Atlantic build for much of my research. My brother has ordered two books which aren't here yet.
I'm actually trying to plan a weekend from work to get to Reading Pa and take some pictures of the P-61, and a few other birds.

Looks like there are only 3 examples left in the US, MAAM, National Air and Space Museum (Garber facility?) and National Museum of the Air Force.
Reading may be your best hope for actual cockpit pictures. Good hunting!

Ah, come on. My wife just bought me a brand new box of Crayola 96 crayons. I've got colors you've never seen before.

Justin,Joel,
Great idea!
I have one Monogram P-61 being done now, started in the Night Fighters campaign and has moved on to Hangar Queen III. I have been using the Eduard sets and Verlinden engine(man that was some work) I also have another Monogram kit as well as two Great Wall kits with True Details wheels and cowlings and Eduards Engine(this is real nice and a whole lot easier than the Verlinden one)
My plan for the next one is to use the Monogram kit with the engines from the Great Wall kit, not sure if I'll use the PE again or not.
Cheers Rob.
