Either it's the first street in town whose combined value hit £1bn, or it's the site of an early aircraft factory - though for the life of me I can't think which it might be, in Windsor of all places. Sure it's not Slough?

It's not a factory, but someone very important to aviation lived in that street.

Hi there
I think it might be where Sidney Camm lived as a child - he was a Windsor lad.

Bingo!
Wee thread about the plaques around winsdor conerning the man himself.

The great man lived here and made his first powered aircraft round the corner. Pretty humble beginnings for Sir Sydney Camm.
Over to you Rowan.

Whew. That's a stubby little thing. I get the feeling it's something in the way SAAB did when they fitted a Sk 50 Safir fuselage with swept wings, to test the J 29 Tunnan wing profiles.
Could it be a similar testbed for trying out the shape of the XF 85 Goblin?

Hi Tony
No, it was nothing to do with the Goblin.

You've got me, Rowan. I haven't found anything even close except for the wartime Miles projects.

Yupp. I have to agree with Graeme. I've even cheated (Google) and turned up blank.
The sweep ofh the wings, and especially the thinning chord, seems like a bit post-ww2 though.

Hi again
Ok, time for another clue: It is a WW2 aircraft and, while not actually German, was produced for an RLM-backed project.

Hi JP
Well, it's actually the Skoda-Kauba V2, which was fitted with a swept wing. But you're so close, it'd be unfair to throw the question back for someone to snap up.
I don't have a model of it (is there one in 1/48 scale, I wonder?), but it would be a great one to raise a few eyebrows in any collection of WW2 aircraft.
Over to you for the next one.

I think I might have this one.
Is it a General Aircraft Fleet Shadower? The undercarriage is different to my pic in The World's Worst Aircraft, but the rest is just too close to be coincidence.
Graeme.

You are wrong, but also right!
It was designed for fleet shadowing so you are correct. But it isn't GA.
It was airspeed. But they both submitted similar plans to the Navy.
Airspeed was picked.
Here is a side view showing the different undercarriage. Really similar shape though

Ok. I better take a wrong turn again. This looks like a shaved off Supermarine attacker. The inlet ducts are way too small and the cockpit canopy seems way different.
So my guess is the Jet-Spiteful Jeffrey Quill talks about in his Spitfire biography.
I haven't been able to find a photo of that on the web, so if I'm right, I'm also happy for the pic.

Really looks like it is from the supermarine stable don't it? It has been bugging me for days. Hope you're right tony.

Here's a hint: It's Australian.
That narrows down the search a whole lot!

Now that I googled the Pika a pic of another thing slapped me in the face. The Jindivik. Could perhaps have solved that, given some more patience...
