If everythign goes well, you won't even notice

and the speed will be closer to mach 0.92 (offciially that is, the reality might be different)

Ok, that's enough tips, now you should be able to figutre it out

Wow, there are some beautiful entries in this campaign. Great job everyone.

I signed up for this campaign way back when it was starting up. Unfortunately, between trying to be a dad to my (then new) daughter and a military PCS move, I just did not have time.

So, I guess on the progress table, you can show me "kaput". I'm finally getting back to modelling but there is no way I can complete anything in two weeks.

Ok,

This should have been an Apache helicopter scale 1/48 but the damned thing does not agree with me. It just refuses to progress. From missing instructions over a scratched canopy to ruined decals, i had it all.

Hence, in I had to find a replacement as i did not want to miss the deadline for this campaign. The replacement was as nice to me as the Apache was ugly. It went together as a dream and I even found the time to write a short review on the thing. hence, you can find my contribution to this campaign at the link:

http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/review/3052

By the way, I haven't checked whether entering a kit this way is compatible with the rules of this campaign. If it isn't then just tell me, I won't make a problem of it.

Is this a joke? Of course your F117 is "compatible" for this Campaign! But please post a picture of your model here as well so I can copy it and include it in the finished list.

Thanks a lot for entering such a fantastic model and writing a full build report for Aeroscale!

Hi all!

@ Drabslab;

Your Tamiya F-117 is wonderful and the feature article is very well written!

Much useful as I have this kit in my to-do pile!

My Tamiya F-16CJ are progressing but will not be finished before the deadline!

Third Campaingn build that´s slipping, not good!

Anyway, here´s some pics;

Cockpit with Eduard brass;

Landinng gears;

Time to hit the paint shop;

More pics soon...

Cheers!

Hello everyone,

Here is my progress so far on the OA-4M Skyhawk. The kit is 1/48 Monogram and it went together with no problems. I primed and pre-shaded the model then painted it tonight. I don’t recall ever seeing aftermarket decals for this aircraft so I will have to use the kit decals. So far it has been a fun build but I have my work cut out for me if it’s going to be done by Friday.
Anyone know if the interior of the flaps were still painted red on these Ghost Grey Aircraft?

Sincerely,
Brian

Hello everyone,

I have most of the basic painting completed so decals are next. I found some pictures of Low-Viz A4 and the interior of the flaps appear to match the underside Grey so that is the way I left it. I will add the Monogram kit is wonderful, to bad they have not re-issued it.

Jean Luc I need to ask for an extension to complete it for the campaign please.

Sincerely,
Brian

Hi all,

I'm making progress on the Saab JAS-39 Gripen, but it's not going as fast as I predicted. I've been working heavily with PE-details (some of them ridiculously small - good lesson for future builds - if you can't see it, don't try to superglue it!), and it has slowed up the whole project!

I hope to have the Gripen painted and decaled by Friday, but then there is the detailing and the finishing touches. I really want to give this build the attention that it deserves So here it comes (please brace yourselves for the inevtable plea!) - Could I have a small extension? Pretty please...

Drabslab - Congratulations on a fantastic build of a fantastic aircraft! Interesting article!

Latest Status Update :-

2 * EA-6A Prowlers - completed, no decent photos taken
2 * A-10A ThunderBolts - 90% completed, less weapons loads
1 * EA-18G Growler - 90% complete.

I shall endeavour to get the remaining 3 completed tonight and Friday Night, but will not have Daylight Photos until Saturday, will this be a problem, or can i post dodgy photos to ensure completion, and follow up with decent ones later?

Hi all,

It's 2.30 at night in Sweden, and I've been busy painting my Gripen.

Just before I could put a coat of Future on top (allowing me to continue with the decals, the panellines etc) disaster struck and i dropped the airbrush while cleaning it! I'm afraid that this is no pretty sight!

Dang! Now I really need an extension, Mr Campaign Leader, please!

Hi all!

Yes, that's what I thought. You don't seem to be the only one who needs more time. In fact I thought about extending this Campaign until the end of March. This would make a whole month more for those wanting to finish their entries. What do you think guys?

It would be a shame to rush to get all these nice looking models finished...

Just having Saturday to finish taking photos would suit me, but a whole month will allow a lot more models to be completed.

Awful Photos on dodgy phone camera taken this morning... Will do better ones later with proper camera

Thunderbolts will be loaded up tonight!!!

Hi Jean Luc, It's been difficult for me to get to a workbench just of late and as such i'm behind on my Buccaneer. With a bit of luck I should get the two missiles and pylons attached and finished by the end of the weekend. Any chance of extending the deadline for me until then please?

Hello Jean-Luc,

I agree with your thinking. An extension in general would allow anyone to complete an entry who wants to.

An extension would be great Jean-Luc. I'm only able to work in short bursts at the moment, about 30 mins a night.

Hi Jean-Luc.

A months extension till the end of March would be nice as due to an ongoing illness, my Phantom has only just reached the painting stage

Hi all!

Alright then, because of popular demand, the Campaign is officialy extended until the end of the month March. I'll ask Chuck to make the appropriate changes.

Let's see how many more will finish this Group Build...

Hi all!

Chuck (CRS) was kind enough to extend the end date of the Campaign. You have now until March 31st to complete your entries.
Good luck to all!

Jean-Luc
