Great build, Nige! A nice pair of double trouble for any luftwaffe fighter
Rowan, looking forward to see more about this kit. The Eduard Bf 110 kits need a custom build display case, so I guess this one needs it own display room
Excellent entries in the campaign so far!

Nigel, intimadating in my case means that you have set the bar so high that rest of us, mainly me will have to put in some hard work to achieve such a beautiful build. Again Nigel this is a great build and cheers to you

Have not been at the workbench for nearly a month so I thought I'd better finish this one off. I took the props off after my pocket battleship of a son broke them but I think it gives you the idea of the prop spinning. Marked gun smoke and oil from the exhausts with chalks, muddied up the tail a little, and some silver on the wing root. I always feel I could make a better job of these things but as long as I'm making progress and having fun I'll keep it up.
I really appreciate these group builds as an incentive to keep going, thanks Captn A!

Many great builds are showing up here.
Sorry I didnt post anything for the last week or so. I was down south on vacation (wifi was down). Then we came home and found out our home was hit by hurricane force winds.

Hi All
I do not think I can make my PE packed Storch in time ... as I just started the Avia B.534 I hope I can do that one before the dead line.
see thread: Avia B.534
cheers
Steffen

Folks,
Just barely in the nick of time, but my P-40M (Kittyhawk III) is now completed. She is in the colors of #5 Squadron, SAAF, stationed in Italy in early 1945. This was the Academy kit, and a joy to build.
Now I can sit back and clean up my workbench. Any comments, good or bad are welcome.
Take it easy, and keep building............................Bruce

Bruce: Nice P 40. Love the hubcaps. A bit of hotrod going on there.
Steffen: Your Avia is coming out good too. Thev'e got a nice touch with the revolver in the pit.
Campaignmanager: When is the deadline? I'ts been too much work and army service this autumn, and I'm stuck until next weekend as I see it.

Thanks for that Carl. If I don't make it by then I guess I shouldn't participate in any more campaigns. And that's a future I don't like to come true.
This weekend will be "ruined" by Home guard training = but there are a few more to go.

Bruce:
Love the P40. I think the base really sets it off.
Leave it to me to change my mind at the last minute. I decided to switch to the pro-modeller ME 410. Found this decal sheet and thought I had to try.

Here are some progress shots of the 410. Great kit and excellent detail. Sorry for the lack of photography skill

Great looking Kittyhawk, Bruce. A very nice small diorama.
Taylor, your ME 410 is coming along nicely. I am looking forward to see it in that attractive camouflage.

Good work on the Me410 Taylor. That kit has been number 1 on my "looking for" list for quite some time now, but they all seem to have disapeared. I think it's about time one of the Revells re-released it...

Jesper and Andrew:
Thanks for the comments. If I can keep the canopy together, I might finish the build. I installed the Aires wheel well detail set. I know most cases the 410 gear doors were closed when parked, but I felt these really add to the kit.
Ayhan: That 109 is looking excelent

As usual, I am starting pretty late in the game with this campaign. I did, however, work on my build for much of the weekend and went from zero to the following a 2.5 days.
It's the Hasagawa Bf-109 G2 in 1/48th with aftermarket exhaust stubs and cockpit (the latter by true details). I found the engine cover worked better if i installed a strip of styrene between the halves.
The weather is perfect for painting here right now, but i am not sure when i can get to it since the next couple weeks are very busy

Well Ayhan. Suddenly my Badger doesn't feel that much of an airbrush anymore. I might have to get a better one, or find new ways to thin my Tamiya acrylics. Shame on you
But that 109 is going to be fabulous!

Super 109, as are all your builds. I might need a new airbrush also.
That 410 is also looking great.

Hi Carl
I've made a start on Dragon's Bf 110 (some pics, hopefully, at the weekend). Apart from some typos and omissions in the instructions, it's all going well.
That's the good news. The bad news is that I almost certainly won't meet the deadline, because I've promised Eagle Editions that I'll use their forthcoming decals for the build and they aren't due to be available until the end of October. Even if I'm lucky enough to receive one of the first sheets they send out, I can't expect to finish until some time in November.
So, I'll carry on with the Bf 110 as far as I can and then may have to wait for Postie...
All the best
Rowan

Hi Rowan .. see the Review thread .. I had posted a link to a list of instruction errors (by Brett Green)
cheers

Hi Steffen
Yes, Brett's list was very useful in alerting me to problems ahead. I've found a couple of points so far to add to or change slightly from what he wrote. I'll start a Blog and highlight things along the way. In fact, most of the errata are obvious as soon as you start preparing the parts and the "I never bother reading instructions anyway!" brigade will wonder what the fuss is about.
