I have the monogram Memphis belle, and I've wanted to build it for so long. I can't really build it here at school because I don't have the space to sprawl out, but I'll be at my table at home in june, so I may join you with my F!

I have that one in my closet. I was seriously considering doing it myself.

I don't think you can ever have enough B17s. We will see how I feel about my bold pronouncement after I finish the P61 for twin spinners.

To keep it real, I think I'll finish a Dakoplast 1/72nd Yak-9T in "Southern Front" scheme - something not seen very often in the modeling world.

Yes, even though it is in "Southern Front" scheme, it still flew over Europe.

I think I'm going to do Hasegawa's 1/48th Macchi MC205 Veltro if thats ok. Looks like an interesting paint scheme.

I just enlisted. I want to keep things close at home, so preferably a Fokker CX Dutch version by which AZ Models is suppose to come out with somewhere this year. I hope soon enough for this Campaign.

If it doesn't arrive in time I may still do a Fokker CX, but a Finnish version. Still got a resin kit of this somewhere in my stash.

Cheers, Nico

No limit on how many aircraft I can submit, correct? Like any other campaign I'm assuming. well anyway, I've got a 1/72 Hasegawa P-51C lined up that I just got the Tuskegee markings for. there's two options, not sure which I'll do, but definitely plan on a Very red tail flying in this campaign!

Carl! It worked very well for a while, though not thinning enough has led to frustrating issues. After a little bit it stopped sucking enough to draw up the paint. I took it to a local hobby shop that has taken me under their wing to help with my issues. Now I have a compressor which works great and I just bought a BAdger Anthem. I've painted a couple using yours but I'm sorry I haven't posted anything because I don't have a camera anymore. I will borrow one for this campaign.

No limit on number of entries.

Perk, Airbrushing opens up a whole new world. It sounds like you bought a good one, so we will be waiting to see your presentations. I like the 14th Armor Patch. My Dad wore the 191st Patch. Mine said Forge the Thunderbolt.

Mmh,

Still no release date for AZ model Fokker CX. Well, if it doesn't turn up in time I dedided I still want to keep thinks close to my own nationality, so it would be MPM's Fokker D21 72 scale.

Cheers, Nico

This may have been clarified ealier, but an aircraft that was used in the battle of the Atlantic would qualify for this campaign right? Especially if it was based out of mainland Europe?

Specifically i'm toying with the idea of doing Revells 1/72 Condor.

Greetings, Folks,
Since we are now getting close to the start line of this campaign, I thought it would be a good time to get started with my planning. Normally I'm in the Modelshipwrights group. But every so often I have to dry off the saltwater and climb back into the air. The last air campaign I tried to take part in ("tweeners") , my time schedule feel apart on me, hopefully this time will give a better result.
At any rate, I'll probably be building an Academy P-40M. Absolute gem of a kit. At present I'm leaning towards SAAF 5 sqdn markings for Italy in 1944, but we'll see. With time closing in on the start, it will be interesting to see the various builds for this one.

Take it easy..................Bruce

Welcome onboard, Bruce. Good choice of aircraft. I believe it is one of the very colourful shark mouth marked aircraft, right?

I am doing the exact opposite of you. I am going into the salt water and will try making a Destroyer for the Cold War Tin Can campaign on MSW. My first ship in many years. However, I will still met you in the European skies. Maybe even over Italy as I am planning to do a Me 109 G-6 fighting in Italy.

Looking forward to get started.

Ahhh Jesper,
Yes, we have managed to participate in several campaigns together. In answer to your question, no - the bird I'm doing does not have the sharkmouth. (That's the RAF 112 Sqd) I chose this one do to the color scheme of Dark Earth,Midstone, over Azure Blue...with a red prop spinner and white tail cap. She was named "Lady Godiver", and was lost in '45.

At present, I'm finishing my entry for the Small Boat build (PT's), which will be MTB 83 of the RN. I'm also scheduled for the Cold War Tin Can build - so we will be at it again. Looking forward to the results. Take it easy.........................Bruce

I still haven't decided what to build. My guess is that it will probably be a 1/32 Trumpeter kit.

BTW, Lady Godiva is one of my ancestors. I look forward to seeing that build.

Gents,
Well, we're rapidly closing in on our start date for this campaign. Previously, I had chosen a Minicraft P-40M in 1/72. But after reading over some of the other questions and responses, I'm going to have to change it. After hearing the Battle of the Atlantic is included, I'm going with the Minicraft PBY. I've found it to be a basic nice little kit that with a little work can be quite an acceptable model. Plus there are sooooooo..... many schemes and colors that can be used.
Now I'll just have to figure which version I care to do in which scheme. Looking forward to this campaign. Take it easy.....................Bruce
