No you don't Jean-Luc. I thought I had a lot of 109's when I collected one of every letter, but then there are different types of camo, different armaments and tons of aces and captured aircrafts and....they're coming to take me away, haha......

You have just zeroed your hobby in. That's all. Tony

OK... The first ones aren't aircraft, but lots of aircraft shot at them in the WW2 war thingy.. :-)

And then there is this nice little number..

Postman did a number on the box, but thanks to the typically sturdy Trumpeter box nothing inside was damaged. Got it from Greece via Epray..

The other three were yesterday. Look what he delivered this morning.. :-)

There were three boxes at the front door when I got home.. :-) All from Ebay.

I won a 1/32 Trumpeter BAe Lightning today as well. Can't wait for that one!

Look at all those big ol boxes! That's what my house extension should be used to house. Rather
than a kitchen and living room.
Well I got a copy of this

today.
First look it is a seris of build logs getting progressively more complex. The techniques
used are explained in pictures and captions. Much like most of the build logs on here.
The cockpits done in an esp clean and crisp style.

Hi Terri, they are Sweet (pun intended) kits in 1/144. Most of the range has two per boxing but some have something else instead of the second aircraft, example the Zero fighter (top left in photo) comes with a section of Japanse carrier flight deck. I have a FM2 Wildcat that comes with US flight deck. Some of the box art work can look very toy like and puts some people off but the kit inside is anything but toy like with super detail that has to be seen.

While at the show where I picked them up I got talking to the gentleman selling them and found out some very interesting information. The gent is Co-owner of the company with another gent from Japan and this is the biggy they use Tamiya machines to produce the kits during the lunch break at 1 kit a minute on two machines. As Tamiya don't produce 1/144 they agree to this as long as those working the machines do it volutary.

Wow. That makes the whole thing even sweeter . I guess I will have to build a Zero-Wildcat pair just because of that. But, boy is 1:144 small. Now I can't put up getting glasses any more .

Err, I try to avoid to say it, but this is BS. I have worked in a factory that just produced very simple parts and adjusting the machine to a new tool at least took a shift (8h) to get all temperatures, pressures, cooling cycles and other stuff right .. even if the crew is very experienced.

Nonetheless you go some nice kits there

all the best

Hi there

A stunning package from Eduard arrived today containing their brand new Bf 109E-1 and Limited Edition Spitfire Vc, plus etched updates for Dragon's Bf 110.

The '109 looks absolutely stunning and I'll get the kits onto the Review-bench as soon as possible. Eduard's own pack-shots show I'm set for a real treat!

Nice Rowan

luckily you do no longer write reviews, so some other guys will have some fine review samples

I refrained from posting pix of my Nürnberg haul .... I am most happy (can you be happier than happy???) that I got the SH Fw 190A-6 Hajo Herrmann special edition (Mr. Riedl sadly had to "de-nazify" the poster) .. plus some other stuff too .. also got some kits that I did not really wanted like the Revell F-117A .. maybe a perfect subject for a dio of that k.o.ed plane in Yugoslavia ... but first to write a review

I do not think that you have to duel with J-L .. he is a much too nice guy. But he already said that he will battle for that eduard Fw 190 Nightfighter dual combo special edition something ... or try to sneak it from you

Hi Steffen

That is a stunning haul for one week! Almost frightening - I don't know whether to congratulate you or send my sympathies!

2 months into 2009 and my wallet is trying its best to burn a hole in my pocket! It'll be my birthday next month, so I reckon I'll deserve the chance to lighten up a bit - I won't have bought a kit, or any modelling products, for over 3 months (which has to be a personal record in a loooonng time!). There are a few I really want - mostly thanks to your all too tempting sneak peeks!

Focussing on the 1/1 scale home-buy project is bl**dy hard at times!

All the best

Hi Rowan

Well, you can imagine, that I could/can not afford much of the stuff to be bought. So it means a lot of work for the coming weeks. Furthermore I will probably review the stuff I bought too. BTW I forgot to add the staffcar Mustang, which arrived last week.

This Friday the 13th was pretty good for me. One parcel arrived without being touched by customs and the other was just 6 Euro. (but it took me 45 minutes of my life, even though I was the only "customee"). All in all I was pretty "lucky" lately in that my orders were pretty small and got through without my personal appearance there (3 of 4 deliveries) ... the Pete will not....

all the best

Steffen

Wow

yesterday was one of my rare lucky days ... i got the Flak and Pliers from customs and ordered this

online at moduni.de. It just arrived. That was a 24 hours delivery ... very cool. I think I will directly start on the Flak!

The Zoom is for my Fw 190 A-4 project, that I also wanted to start so that I will at least have one entry for the Focke Wulf campaign.

Hi Rowan

Yes, the Flak is for it and also the sets from Hauler. As you are permanently bashing my dio I will not post more pix of it. If and when I am happy then I am happy ..

all the best

Steffen

I did not proceed because I first want to know how high I can go with the bush work. Thus I first needed the Flak, which needs to be build to a certain extend to determine this ... at the moment I use almost every spare minute to work for my site. I have written 4 reviews today and I want to finish the Tilly before days end .... if there is a bit spare time left I will start on the Flakvierling

Hi Terri

the shop is open 24/7 but for viewing only ... Ask Jean-Luc ... it is not that much, but all in 48 scale. So some may find a long lost pal in "le stash"..

You can have the Lebedyev .. but you must write me a review (in German of course). I think I keep the Fokker D.II (it is not the trainer but the fighter) ... just took some pix today and hope I find the time and motivation to write a review soon.

Nuremberg is really stressful if you have "a mission" but it is also fun!

all the best
