Planning to do finnish SB-2 maybe?
Did the SB/VP decals come in blenheim set or did you buy two decal sets?

Yep. SB-8, the only one that can be built from the ICM kit as that was the only M-100-engined SB-2 in FAF service. I hope ICM comes up with the later variants as well. Looking at the sprues it's pretty clear they've had that in mind.

Oh, yes. I should have mentioned that. Two decal sheets there: AML's Blenheim and InScale's SB-2 sheet.

Eetu: does that mean we get to see your Blenheim finished soon? I've been looking forward to it!

I hope so too! Although it's still pretty much in the same state as on the last update to my build thread, at least I've managed to paint yellow bands to the wings and fuselage (I think that was last year...), and just recently I got the turret dome painted. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the masking tape coming off like it was applied yesterday. And I didn't even score along the edges with a knife, fearing it would cause the future coat to lift. Now when these masks came that cleanly off a future-dipped clear part that was primed with mr. surfacer in last November (give or take), I don't think I'll resort to the knife method anymore.
I've got a couple of more or less urgent projects in finishing, but I'll try to get the blenheim done soon.

Hello all,
I just ordered this Osprey issue on offer at Hannants at about £8 alongside with Eduard's F-22 Zoom parts for my Revell kit.
http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=OACOM61
I know Osprey has a good reputation... but how is it?

All this for over $100 in savings on retail price plus he only charged me $9 for postage, which HE was charged $21. He also threw in a couple of extra decals for the kits. Not bad for an Australian seller!

Hi there
Still in the middle of packing up to move home, I've been trying my hardest not to buy any more kits. But, having spent hours over the Bank Holiday clearing out a basement to move The Stash into, I couldn't resist calling into Dorking Models on my way back to London and buying a treat to look forward to once I'm back up and running!
I'll do a First Look review if I get a chance to take a break from shifting boxes!
All the best

I guess I would have been a happier man not knowing places like Dorking Models exist. If there are rules telling where not to put up a hobby shop, Sweden is the rule (not anywhere outside million people cities ) and England is the exception (anywhere where there is a pub, a sheep farm and a slightly amusing name of the community ).
But I'm looking forward to read your view of the 152.
Tony

Hi Tony
Dorking Models is unquestionably my favourite LHS. A real Aladdin's Cave - a classic old-style model shop with a great mix of mainstream and harder to find kits. Dorking is worth a trip anyway for the wonderful Mole Valley countryside, and I'd thoroughly recommend anyone visiting to check out the shop.
Sadly, model shops like this are becoming all too rare in the UK. Dorking Models is something I'll really miss when I move away from the area, but I'm sure I'll find an excuse to look in whenever I can.

Wow great hauls. I got in the post today. A 1/72 P-51B Airfix Mustang. A 99p bid on evilbay. all-in less than a pint.
Really not that exciting but I'm actually needing a cheap little thrill to get me moving again. So this is perfect.
Will build it for the Mighty Eighth as I'll never get my engine exposed Old Crow finished in time for it. It'll work
as a trial run to let me make paint mistakes on this one.

Hi Michal
I am not sure what you are asking here? .. I still have plenty of space to store all model kits in my flat. here is my main display case .. you see 50 finished models and still plenty of space there. left you see another small display shelf where I store some of my started modes (it is directly beside my bench) and I have another one where 10 larger models are stored (a Ju88. a Me410, 2 Ar234, 2 Me 262, Hs129, two Jugs, plus a Bf108 to fill an empty space) also i did not count the 48scale military kits that I just put between the aircraft where there is some space ...

Hey Steffen. I see a finished Heinkel 112 in the left end. Can we see more of that little beauty soon?
But what I see even more is that you place your planes fin outwards. I usually photo mine that way, but I've never thought of displaying them like that. Thanks for the tip. More of the plane is visible that way, so I'll go for that in the future.

Hi Tony
I finished it today, but it is still in the WIP-shelf. .... the sun is just coming out, so I maybe take a few pix later today.
as for the display. I think the 8 o'clock view is the best of most aircraft as the crew enters it in usually from this side you will also find most deorations left .. of course there are exceptions and also this is just my personal opinion ..

Frustkompensation Teil 2
got some more of my orders today .... ready to start the MiG-17 soon (still need some new Aires /QB stuff ) ... seeing Olivers model when we met with Marc really motivated me to do the HB model (even if it is not totally correct)
Aires MiG-17 Wheels
QB MiG-17 pitots (2 sets)
QB MiG-17 guns (2sets)
QB MiG-17F correct Fin (do not know whats wrong with the kit part, but as I just ordered some stuff ....)
QB MiG-21 PF air scoops
QB A-10 fan intakes (for Italeri) ... probably not necassary for my HB kit .. differences are very small
all from Aero-Spezial .. a very good online shop here in Germany .. better prices than regular moduni and p&p was also very low .. still I like both as both have their advantages.
Alley Cat Canberra B.2/... canopy (the Arfix kit part is not very good and my part has a large flow mark - proably the tool was a bit too "cold" ) bought directly from A2Zee.
More in the pipeline ... (BTW the for those who wonder what the heck I all buy with my small budget, the stuff posted yesterday was backlog from early August)

Nice buy Steffen. Well with all the overtime I've been doing its had an effect on two things first no time to do any modelling but second loads of extra tokens So off to a show I went this weekend placed models on a local club stand and our Kitmaker branch stand then went and spent some of those said tokens.
Plus some armour but thats not for here.

Hi Luciano
very nice haul! ...BTW the MiG-17PF is pretty wrong. While I do not care too much about the wing and other details .. the nose shape is pretty obvious:
left HB ... right Smer .. and now how the original looks:
this is something that bothers me, but I have no idea how to fix that (without kitbashin or major scratchbuilding) ... maybe (hopefully) someone will do a correction. In general the HB is a nice kit (as a kit without the accuracy issues)
all the best

Thanks Steffen, I'll make a note and hope for someone to do a correction. Aires or Quickboost may be
