Hi Allen
I fully understand your pain (see some pages above re my glue search) .. but I must say that I am (personally) not sure if the EU is responsible for very shortage of goods we need .. sometimes some economic decisions (right or wrong) may play their part too and blaiming someone else is a nice excuse .. anyway .. it is good you good your supply of metal flakes to paint your models !
I was at customs today and got this beauty
The cut is from their stupid knife .. wish i had brought my tools ) ... the A-10 was discounted at 30USD. The package also included Haulers PE set for the AFV Sturmtiger (which will be my bought model for next month ) strangele the Hauler prices are much better at Luckymodel than buying from Jan directly! had to pay 5,75 € import VAT So all in all it is still a bargain (even though it hit my small wallet pretty much).
cheers
Steffen

This was just brought to me. The 1/72's are for the models that I started some time ago and want to finish it as soon as possible. Yak-9 is almost "in progress", so I have a lot of time until I'll need this canopy.

From my LHS, for the 2010 Mustang campaign. Have heard mixed reports about this kit but I'll give it a go.

Hi Steffen,
Is this the Hasegawa side-car? It seems there are two in each bag, this makes four in total...

BTW got myself this for my birthday some weeks ago:
J-L do you think Marc would be interested if I bring it with me next week?

Inspired by the cover of this book, I put together some bits to make the Typhoon featured:
Academy 1/72 Typhoon
Airwaves Tempest tail fins
Airwaves 1000lb bombs and racks (the 90 gallon drop tanks filled with napalm look just like the 1000lb bombs without the fins)
The transfers that come with the kit include a plane from the same squadron, so I'll have the Eagle to put on the nose (in the kit scheme it is on the tail), but I needed some sky serial codes, so I bought a sheet of those. I printed the registration number myself (easy to do colours that are dark- I can't print white).
I bought two shades of grey for the Typhoon too.
Then I have some masks for my PDU 1/72 Hudson (didn't fancy cutting all that masking myself), and some thin strips, for masking ribs on biplane wings (for my Tiger Moth, plus future WWI subjects).

I brought it by myself. As usual: it was a cheapie so couldn't miss it ;P
It's a biography of one of the most popular polish pre-ww2 pilot, winner of the Challange, airplane construtor and great airman.
@Giacomo: I got it from the polish online shop: www.ksmodel.pl The guy has a good contact in the Czech Rep. so he gets Pavla kits and accessories very often.

Nice big mat. Good to know you can get packs of .3mm bit. I'm forever breaking mine.
I know I'm not supposed to buy more kits but......
For £16.50 inc shipping I got
and this
oh and I forgot this
Pretty pleased with the bargain.
And won an auction for a part started Sunderland too.
Looks like I'll need to get rid of some kits if I'm going to be able to build these. Oh which to cull?

Nothing exciting .. got 2 PE detail packs from eduard. One for Tamiya's P-47 D and another for Eduards Emil. I also got a set of hobby sanding sticks ..wanted to try to see if it's worth spending the extra $$ versus to using nail sanding and polishing sticks.

Buhuhu Toumas! I know the feeling about those drive-malfunctions. My boss was invited to a desert bike race in Inner Mongolia a few years ago and I ran the service organisation. You bet I took pictures of Chinese home brewn off road bikes in the true essence of Mad Max II, and all is gone...

Well the Sunderland arrived. Not quite what I expected. A bit more than just started.
The cockpit is beautifully scratched . All surface detail removed. Engine nacelles
extensively modified, again beautifully done. The turrets faired over.
Initailly disappointed, but now I have a little detective work as to what the original
modeller intended. Could lead somewhere interesting and unique.
Missing the engines though. Could I write to Airfix for replacments?
Or anyone know of a cheap source of bristol pegasus engine fronts?
Update:
Looks like a Hythe. The windows are wrong though. With some better
better refs I'll try to turn this into the ill-fated G-AGES that crashed on
Mt Brandon in Kerry. I've even walked near this wreck site (without
noticing it) How do you hide a crashed Sunderland!? quite happy
with this little surprise now.
