Hi Justin

Wow! That does look nice! Hopefully it'll soon be in action and cluttered with modelling paraphernalia!

I don't think I could even fit a 1:48 Catalina on my workbench, let alone lose it in the middle! LOL!

All the best

Hi there

Well, Ryde was a standstill today because of a couple of inches of snow overnight! Ludicrous!

Anyway, being the hardy and fearless soul that I am, I braved the "snow event" and was rewarded at the bookshop by a deal I couldn't refuse!

As befits its title, it's absolutely packed with photos of both Allied and Japanese aircraft, most of which are new to me.

All the best

Hi Steffen,
How is the restart of Moduni going and whats happening behind the scenes? I heard they are sending new bills from old orders that have been already paid for.

Moduni's fate is sad, I always liked it and had good service & prices.

Hi tuomas

I have heard nothing of the practise you describe. In the past I never got an invoice, but they booked the money from my bank when they sent out the stuff. Was not charged twice, always worked o.k. IMO the new guy in charge just bought the name and remaining stack and now sells it for low prices (the book was 18 the Fulmar 20 Euro) not spectacular, but still cheap. e.g they had teh Bf 110G-2 and G-4 for 24 Euro. There are other things that are still at normal price.

OTOH I am not sure how far this new company can be trusted so I will keep an eye on my bank account. I also liked the old moduni and was always pleased with the service.

all the best

Hi Steffen,

I have heard that Moduni now only sells stuff in Germany and not in other countries anymore...

This is what I got from Hannants last week...

Hi Jean-Luc

nice haul!!! be careful with that Skymodels decals. They are not very well researched and often the markings are over or undersize ....

As for Moduni (new) I cannot say anything about them! They sent me a flyer and I got that stuff within a week. So nothing bad yet, but I do not like the new site and somehow it is all a bit strange .. we'll see.

Need to find a good source for czech kits. I will probably buy my AM stuff from Aero-Spezial good prices and Volkhard really is a nice guy (got the Iraqui Fighters book from him).

all the best

Hi Damian

Don't worry - I've got the same kit stashed away somewhere and was considering it for your campaign. Alternatively, a PO-2.

my newest 3 kits.
i saw a lot of pictures of the new spitfire, but when you hold that kit in your hands..oh dear!
just beautiful.everything is so crisp, the decent rivets are amazing.

the second beauty is the ki-84,which is the best molded 1/32 aircraft from hasegawa.

the third one is an older one, with raised rivets and panels,i didn´t noticed that when i bought that kit.it´s gonna be a lot of work on the hayabusa

Hi gang

another bad day in my personal hell, but at least there was something in the post for me:

got the F-105D for 24 Euro including p&p from Lucky. the books were on sale too. The top two were 9,95 Euro each. Had to find something for 10 ct to get over the free shipping limit from Motorbuch Versand so I took the LSK/LV book for 14,95 ... just a bit more than 10ct.

all the best

Post turned up yesterday after three days
got these,
The FW,Flitzer is for the Twin booms campaign, the stunning Aztec deals are for the pin ups campaign,
and the DVD was a treat from Mrs Torch(don't think she knows yet as she's not checked her Amazon accout yet )

I picked these up at my local modelzone this morning

The RE8 is for the twin seat campaign, the other two, well they were 1/2 price

I'm still waiting on a load of stuff ,but a wee bit of white water from the skys brings this country to a standstill
Model on

Latest haul is just a little one.

Camogirl and I went to the LHS that her mum works at to check out the latest offers. Sam picked up a Tamiya kit and I was given the C-17 as a buy one get one free

The P-61 engines for my twin booms campaign entry arrived from Hannant's today.

And here the kits I bought

I've been eyeing up the The Tamiya Zero for a long time and finally bought it from the LHS. The offers they had was by any three kits (excluding Tamiya) and get the cheapest free but mum did the BOGOF for us (nice to know that my mum will give Allen a free kit and not me one)

The P-38 arrived from Hannants which will be my entry for the Twin Booms Campaign
