Hi all,

What about the Spit .. will you build a 2nd for yourself?

Lampie has answered the question for me...

P.S. It looks like the kit hasn't been designed by the Reggiane team...

Nice haul Nick!

The Oscar and airbrush look great!

Steffen, I also got the Ar 196 and a book about the Regia Aeronautica yesterday, but I forgot to mention them in all the fun. I'm not going to open them until Christmas day, because my Mum is only just home from hospital and can't do any shopping, so we're pretending she bought them for me.

All the best

A 20cm box just for that?! I suppose it's more economical and efficient for them to use a standard box, but still...

Hi again

Well, Postie's made what's probably his last delivery to Castle Aeroscale before Christmas - a great bundle of samples from Platz

There's a 1:72 Yukikaze Mave from the cult animation series, 1:48 F-22 decals and Hyper Cut razor saw. Reviews to follow asap (and the Ar 196 ).

Hi again

Exciting deliveries overnight from Santa's models and bookshop at the North Pole!

He's got a pretty good stock and GREAT service - it's a free delivery! Shame he can only come round once a year, and squeezing down the chimney can't be good for him at his age!

All the best

This crashed on my doorstep on thursday morning

Its from the Daimler-Benz DB605 engine of a Messerschmitt Bf 109G.

This relic is a large threaded collar that would have fitted around the propeller shaft between the reduction-gear and the propeller-hub. A large threaded bearing-retainer would have been screwed into it.
It will make an interesting base for displaying a 109

Hi again

Ohh my goodness! There was an absolutely stunning package delivered this morning!

Even after all I've seen on-line about Silver Wings, it still doesn't prepare one for the real thing... the quality is simply fantastic! I'll get cracking on a Review asap.

OK Old Chap, let me ease your pain: I declare to adopt your latest aqusition. You are very busy with maintaining the Aeroscale and also with the Spitfire and Halberstad on the workbench. I think you can't have any model which may disrupt you in the current projects, it would be bad for your health. Beside, when was the last time when you took your wife to the cinema or for a walk? So now put that Seagull back into the package and send it to me...

Yup , Michal is correct . It would be best for your health as well as giving you the time to work on whats on the bench now . With the two seater campaign starting up soon the review will not get the full attention .

It's a great kit and look forward to your view on it !

I'm happy the kit arrived safely...

Obvioulsy a Spitfire is flying faster than a Fokker Eindecker!

Rowan, nice one! Maybe I should change my avatar during the Christmas period...

I think that you will have to be called "Santa-Luc" from now on

I will wait until I have moved before starting this kit, so that I can make sure of doing it justice, as it is truly a superb kit.

Thanks again Santa-Luc

Hi Nick

nice haul .. had you have a look inside the box already? I was quite impressed (pic of my box is already a page back) .. separate flaps and slats and so forth. Think I could spend a fortune on AM stuff but I would like to do an AOOB once in a while and this seems to be a nice candidate ...

We have a crazy plan for the Eindecker (this is one half of the Dual Combo... ), but Le Grand Duc was a total surprise! Merci beaucoup, Santa-Luc!
