Hi again
Nice haul Steffen!
I got a great little package today from Russia! Sergey Kosachev has very kindly sent us samples of his new Vector sets for the Zvezda Bf 109F - a correction set, and a conversion for one of Galland's up-gunned aircraft.

All the best

Great Stuff Rowan!
Will you testfit them for the review? (I know you have other projects so the Zvezda Bf 109 F-2 is out of play for the moment)
BTW did you start the T-33 already to have a head start on J-L .. just to equal chances of course
.. or maybe send Vincent a new toy .. how about a Vuvuzela
cheers

Hi Steffen
I'll use the Zvezda kit for comparison with Sergey's resin pieces. Hopefully I'll get a chance to build it this autumn.
I'm actually tackling the F-80 (Jean-Luc's doing the T-33). I've sliced out the wheelwell ready to fit the resin replacement, but I won't get a chance to do much before he gets back from holiday. I won't even try to keep up with him because, again, he's building OOB while I'll be adding extras - Squadron's new wheel wells, cockpit and nose guns. But at least it'll be a lot quicker than scratchbuilding replacement details as I'd originally intended.

All the best
Rowan

Hi Rowan
Thanks for the info! Not my scale so I just hope you both get through this projects and return to TOTS
Looking forward to follow J-L with the BR.20
BTW as of late you seem to take on the "harder" projects ... guess two boy are stressing .. OTOH just imagine when J-L has them trained to help him ...

my projects will look even more glacial ---> tectonic ...
all the best

Well, it is what the postman bought in the last two days..

The small things sticky taped to the EF2000 box are some train buffers.

Wow, Warren, wish my postman would also buy me all the stuff

(don't worry I am mistyping and using wrong terms much more often than I like .. I bet you find a lot below)
Here is what I bought and the postman brought just a few minutes ago

a bit more Spitfire stuff. including Interior green and DE/MS/AB
The new Re2002 spine has a nice profil, but is even longer than the kit part, so I removed about a cm ("Pi mal Daumen") Now I will need the Eduard BigEd, a copy of J-L's scratch built seat and some guts to tackle the wing correction ... one day
The two other paint jars are for the Nakajima A6M5a Zero and finally the Decal set is for the ICM Mustang I bought recently (I liked "Kid" Hofers a/c that Nige built for Aces 2)
all the best

Oh I don't think you do too badly Steffen

Expecting some more good stuff next week. Have to slow down as my stash is getting too big! Was OK when it was all 1/72 stuff, but 1/32 planes and 1/35 tanks take up serious room in their boxes!

You may be right, I may be crazy.

Thanks Warren!
Another remark re the stuff I bought. I checked the Aboukir filter and it does not fit the Tamiya kit very well, despite what is written on the leaflet I suspect it is rather intended for the Special Hobby Kit which it fits much better. So for the Tamiya I will go with what is in the Trop kit and share it beween the two Spit Vb I have so I get one Aboukir and one Vokes machine ...
all the best

Ahhh.. what a perfect day.. The Postman knocks on my door on my Birthday and delivers this, the second most expensive model I have ever purchased..

Then, a few hours later, the courier knocks on my door and delivers three 1/18th scale cars!!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy..
** Off Topic **
And to top it off, I find the 1/1 scale item I have wanted for about 30 years now, an early VW Beetle in original condition. Was sold new in 1967. I have all the receipts for servicing from then and I am only the third owner. And my Wife loves it as well!!
It doesn't get much better than this!

Good to see the Meteor is out. Let's hope the other 1/72 aircraft that they announced are following close behind!

It's looking good fun on the basis of a test-fit. Sharp moulding and nice detail.

Wow, Luciano! What a haul!
Thanks Warren and Rowan it helps when your hotel is only a couple of miles from Hannants in Lowestoft, mind you walking round a model 'shop' with a shopping trolley is a bit scary especial when theres no price tags and mountains of kits.
