Hi all,

Not the postman neither, but this is what I've picked up at the Thionville Expo...

Nothing special today, just a small addition to the stash...for the future build of course.

Some of you may have seen my thread What the postman didn't bring! How I was ripped off when I paid £97.75 for Tamiya's 1/32 Spitfire MKVIII to Models in Motion and 5 days later the receivers moved in! I had written off the money when Stuart of Creative Models, along with The Hobby Company, offered to supply the kit, free of charge
This arrived today:

Packaged with this:

What is also worth noting is the fact that my original post was on the 9th October, Stuart offered to replace my loss on the 14th October and today is the 16th of October. That's what I call service.

Thank you Stuart, I can't tell you how grateful and how impressed I am My faith is restored.

I forgot to mention that, because Creative Models send out orders immediately, some on line retailers are using them to "wharehouse" their stock, I.E. They don't have to hold stock themselves and therefore don't incur those costs, so they can offer discounts. They get there order, as we see here, in no time, so their customers never know that they didn't have the item in stock when they placed the order. The point here is; you can have discounts or reliability. After my own personal experience I'll be going with reliability every time.

Nice to see you sorted it out!
Any chance to see the mouse pad?

These arrived from Evil bay today they have been started (wing glued together and fuselage removed from the sprue) but was a bargain at less than £20 (inc postage) for the pair.

Hi all,

This is what I have received directly from ICM...

The content is the same as the Hs 126 A except for a different engine. Markings for three aircraft include one machine in white and one in desert scheme...

That's too bad indeed. The kit is listed at 24€ at Modelimex though it doesn't seem to be available yet.

The Euro being stronger than the Dollar currently, I've placed an order in the States, mainly resin accessories...

Hi all

Wow! Some wonderful hauls!

Postie's been busy lately here too...

A very ingenious and useful wheel sander from CB Model Products:

The latest version of Valom's impressive An-2 (Václav kindly provided decals and resin parts for the ski-equipped aircraft too):

And the one many Luftwaffe fans have been waiting for...

the new 1:48 Fw 189 from Great Wall Hobby:

Something tells me I'm going to be busy reviewing this lot!

All the best

Hi Rowan,

Very nice... I'm looking forward to the Fw189 review too!

This is what I've got from T2M today...

I know it's not aircraft related but the Puma is one of my favorite WWII vehicle and at last I have the real kit under the nose...

Hi J-L

how does that Kitty look inside the box? ...

I got Doug Baumanns Aviatik Berg Hex losenge today ... pretty neat stuff but a bunch of work. On Saturday I got the Valom An-2 great kit though I am not sure whether I should buy the NeOmega updates or if these are only useful for the Bilek kit (which is said to be a copy of the NeOmega Anna)

all the best

That's what I thought... too bad...

Steffen, the Puma kit looks very nice. There are no metal parts and the tyres are all plastic though I've read somewhere that they are not very good. I don't know. I was commissioned to build it for an article in Tamiya Mag France so I will start working on it soon.

The Postman came with my daily plastic and resin dose...

So you got that GMC parts ...

Today I got the Vector bits for the Bf 109 finally.

Still trouble with customs because of my Lifelike Bf 109 decals, but now I am going the looong way. I am really curious what these persons want from me...

all the best

Hi there

It's obviously Decals Day here at Castle Aeroscale! Postie has delivered two great packages for review - the latest Italian Bf 109 Aces sheets from Stormo!, and a simply stunning mega-pack of Afterburner Decals.

All the best

Got Hasegawa's 1/72 F-16C Block 50 yesterday from Lucky Model, it was on sale.
Looks like a nice kit and the GE exhaust is very well represented.
I also ordered Wolfpack Design's ACES II seats, they look great!
