Hello Daniel

I am not sure how much worth a German book has for you?! Here it is anyway:

Peter Rodeike
Jagdflugzeug Focke Wulf - Fw 190 A, Fw 190 "Dora", Ta 152 H
ISBN 978-3-923457-44-1

all the best

Yey, my decals arrived yesterday

And these arrived today from the USA (in half the time it took Hannants) I've been after some KC-135 decals for 100 ARW based at Mildenhall for some time for a project in the stash. I saw these in SAMI last month and just had to get them.

And I bought this today from a LHS the next town over (you can never have too many Thunerbolts).

Nice haul Terri and Allen!

@Terri: do not forget to post pix ... you can also link them from the manufacturers site

@Allen: How are the Wolfpack decals ... the stuff that is in the chinese kits is totally crap (thick, brittle, not reacting to decal solution .. even daco red had only a slight impact and that stuff is hefty.

Last week I read Swannys Ki 100 build report (pt.1) and i saw a box of exactly the a/c that I want to do ... it was a special edition but no longer in hlj stock. So I searched ebay and found one at a good price in England ... it arrved today:

still waiting for the UM 1/48 scale GAZ-AAA from Ukraina ....

cheers

Hi Steffen,

They look OK on the sheet and are in good register and don't look overly thick, with you mentioning this I might give one of the decals I don't need a try to find out what they're like. watch this space.......

Thanks Allen!

To be more precise .. I meant Trumpeter and HobbyBoss kits. Have a look at the decal sheet maybe it is printed in Italy by Cartograph or maybe by Microsrcale (I could not make it out on your photo) ... then you would be on the safe side.

The Czechs are also o.k. .. though I am happy that Eduard changed to Cartograph as AviPrint always had problems to be in register ... e.g. I have 4 different sets of decals for the Yak-1 Baranov special ... there are 3 victory tallys per sheet ... I have one score that is half way in register! Propagteam is very good but a bit difficult to handle. AML are also very good (don't know who really prints these decals) .. and the Polish Techmod stuff is also good.

I got a bit off theme I am sorry....

all the best

Steffen

Hi Steffen These decals are printed by Fantasy Printshop. But as they say the proof is in the pudding and I'll find out how good/bad they are at the weekend

sorry Steffen

I have had trouble in the past when linking pictures from the Kitmaker Gallery since it was changed. Try uploading some photos to Photobucket or similar these have an area you click and it copies all the required code to your clipboard and then you just paste it into your post

In this example you would click on the bit that say "IMG Code" for forums, etc

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hi Allen

Fantasy Printshop is o.k. small but pretty good.

as for pix. html code is img src="url" put it in < ... > and replace url with the URL . You can easily get the URL of many pix by rightclicking and "copy image url" (or similar --- paste with CTRL+V). ... the img stuff in the forum is also easy to use

example: my post above:

cheers

At least you havnt had to throw the towel in with me yet sweetheart

Honestly Terri the photobucket way is the easiest and most straight forward way to post pics

Just click on the bit that says image code (the actual writing on the left side that says img code) this will save the long bit in the box on the right hand side.

Then go into the area where you are typing the reply and paste this into the reply by clicking the right mouse button and selecting paste.

Thats all there is to it

just buy some Trumpeter kits .. they have at least two full time riveters for every IM tool

nice buys .. I am curious about your experience with Radu's tool. I have the original Petr Dousek tools and they are very good and take a "heavy hand" pretty well

cheers

Well I'll be riveting Molders 109d tonight so I'll let you know. There is a great 3 view on wikipedia for the 109d.
I'll practice by riveting and putting an oil wash on some scrap stock first though to see how it looks
Really impressed with how the Academy models look in the box. Mind you I've been building ancient airfix and kitech recently so anything would be an improvement.
