Nice one Justin and Hermon, great to see some jets and also an early carrier plane.
Anyone for an Aeromarine 39B or a F-35?
Tomas, regretfully unless you can provide info that the plane you model landed on or took off from
a carrier I've got to say no.

Well, it is best if I then spare it for Aces High 2.

Todd C,
Doing good there, guy. You're starting to crank them out pretty regularly. Obviously much better than I'm doing this year, but house renovations tend to slow one down a little. When I finally get back into the hobby room, the 1/144th F-18F will be first finished, followed by the A-7. So rack up a few builds ahead of me !
Keep up the good work ! Nice builds are being completed by all in this thread. Take it easy, Guys..................Bruce

Here is my finished entry. Accurate Miniatures Gruman F3F-2 in 1/48. Paint is Alclad aluminum fuselage and Poly Scale orange-yellow for the top wing. Tamiya lemon yellow for cowling and fuselage belly band. Great kit over all and fun to build.....except for all the PE and antenna wires.

Greetings everyone and some great work being done hear. I finally got a start on my Tomcat and can only hope that it can come close to what most here are achieving. This is my first aircraft in a decade and a half and I'm kind of out of my element (been doing only 1/72 AFV's since returning to the hobby). So far, except for a couple of ambiguous instructions, the build has been interesting. Parts fit seems good and the detail is quite nice considering the scale (1/144). Enough chatter, on with some picts.

I finally made some more progress on the Tomcat. It's turning out to be quite an adventure. The parts and decals for the cockpit are sooooo tiny that the time required to get things right was out of all proportion to the scale.
View into the pilots position.
The cockpit and nose section dry fitted to the fuselage.
I've started working on (painting) the missiles and landing gear. The bulk of the airframe should be completed in a day or so.
Cheers,
Jan

Just a quick update. Got the the main parts together and now for the coat of Klear then decals and weathering. The cameras not the best and neither is the lighting, but the blues look to me alot closer to the real thing. Hopefully more soon.

If you have enough space you just upload your photos into the relative galleries. If not, MySpace etc will let you upload photos there for free and provide you with the link so you can put the link in your posts.

You need to login to the photo area. Then paste the above link. Assuming you
have room then you can click on the upload link.
I agree it is one of the poorest parts of this site. Having the photos in the gallery
means I won't miss anyone out rather than trawling the thread. I'm sure you'll
all keep me right if I miss you out though.

Click on the "Photos" tab at the top of the Aeroscale page. This should take you to the Kitmaker Gallery Main Index page. Click on Aeroscale. Now click on Aeroscale Campaigns. Then click on 2009 Aeroscale Campaigns. Click on Airedale Navy. In the menu bar at the top on the right side, click on Upload Photos and you should now be at the page where you can choose a photo to upload.

Gents:
My A-7E is still under construction, but I have managed to complete DML's 1/144th scale F-18F. Actually a decent kit with a little work. It is definitely on a par with Revell's F-18C in quality. The VFA-32 markings came from Jasmine Decals of Japan. Overall an interesting build. So at least I get 1 tailhooker down ! Any comments welcomed............Enjoy, Bruce

Anthony,
Not a problem. I have photos taken with my hand in the photo for scale. I uploaded this into the photo list, but it doesn't display. I don't know if it takes time to upload into the network or not, but I'll keep a watch on it. I really prefer 1/144th scale for many reasons... cost, display area, etc. Plus with more companies jumping on the bandwagon, the variety is increasing faster than I can build them to my satisfaction. Keep building , Gang........................................Bruce

sorry to hear that drabslab. look to see you back with us soon.
excellent Bruce good to see some 1/144 work a little jewel
For myself I've got wings on the wvyern and will start to get it painted soon.
There is so many small assemblies on it, it will be a bit of a marathon, but
slow and steady...

Excellent job on the Hornet, Justin. The Jolly Rogers markings are a good choice. They add some colour and look cool!
Thanks for participating
