Nice gear Justin!
Oh well.. two votes is enough so it be the Sea Fury! There are three to finish in front though..
1. Revell 1/32 Spitfire Mk22/24 - Decal time..
2. Revell 1/32 Bristol Beaufighter Mk.1F - Detail painting and decals.
3. Trumpeter f-105G - Got the two greens to go in the SE Asia scheme. Big plane!
Might go grab the kit and have a perusal..

Got it.. Less than 90 parts for the whole plane! I like it.. Is a little simplified in places, but it is a break from the Trumpeter kits I normally build.

Hmmm.. about 30 minutes of work and the cockpit is ready for paint, the wings are together and the fuselage hales have been joined! A quick build is a good build!

Another 10 mins of work and here is the result.
Fit is great and no filler has been used yet. A good kit for a low price. 5 markings, 1 Royal Navy, 2 Royal Australian Navy and two Cuban kites!
I will be doing the RAN one from Schofields aerodrome which is just up the road from where I grew up. And it is an easy scheme is overall navy blue...

Here is a progress shot of my little....and I mean little F3F-2 from Accurate Miniatures.
Carl, you were right about this kit. It's one of the first kits I bought 5 years ago when I got back into the hobby and it's always scared me but now that I've started it, I wish I had a few more of them. Great little kit so far.
I'm taking my time and double checking the instructions with every step. Looks like this one will turn out pretty nice.

She's really starting to take shape now. Only real mistake so far is I glued the strut bars on to the bottom wings backwards last night. Hey, it's my first bi-wing
I used up my last little bit of Alclad on this one and there are no other suppliers around here but I think it's been worth it so far.

Looks great so far, Hermon. I really love the mix of aluminium and yellow.
I have now finished my entry for this campaign. A Hellcat used by French colonial forces for combat in Indochina/Vietnam in the early 1950ties. It flew of the carrier Arromanches in support of ground forces.
The kit is the Eduard 1/48 Royal Class Hellcat with PE cockpit, resin and PE engine, and resin wheels. Excellent kit, although the resin wheels are fitted very badly to a chunk of resin, so it is very difficult to remove them without damaging them. Other than that excellent kit!
Comments welcome

Another Hellcat landed! Better get on with the wyvern to outnumber these Yanks.
I suspect Warren's Sea Fury will be next in though, given his prolific run of late ,
Or will Hermon's F3 make it down first, I love the two shades of yellow on the top
wing, nothing gets by you
Nice job Jesper, that resin engine looks great. Good to see some other navies than
US and RN. This is one campaign you'll not find a proliferation of Luftwaffe.

Hehehehehe Here ya go JP!!
As usual, click on the pictures for larger ones...
This is the Hobbycraft 1/32 Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 in RAN colours. The aircraft was sitting at Bankstown in a dilapidated condition in these very colours until it was bought by a person in the USA and restored. It has since been repainted a number of times.
Sorry it took so long JP, but I was working on this at the same time...
1/32 Trumpeter F-105G Wild Weasel. SOmething to pass the time away!

Thanks for the comments, JP. The resin engine and wheels are a really good bonus in the Royal Class kit from Eduard.
Warren, very nice Wyvern. A very attractive aircraft in the overall gloss paint scheme. It seems strange that the Aussies put the wing roundels that way around. I would expect the kangaroo to face as it was jumping along the wing.
I hope it makes sence what I mean. I did not have to many - yet

Greetings everyone! Well, I've joined this campaign. I must be crazy...mad...mentally deranged... I've only a little over a year ago returned to the hobby and haven't built an aircraft in fifteen or more years. I've been doing Braille scale armour up to this point so I have no idea what I am getting myself into. To top everything off, I chose an even smaller scale for this first aircraft build.
Here's my entry.
The parts.
Decals.
I hope that I'm not biting off more than I can chew. One of my last model aircraft was a Matchbox F-14A and I swear it had less parts than this one.
Cheers,
Jan

Almost done! Just gotta paint the canopy and touch up a few mistakes. Go ahead and clear me out a spot on the landing deck.
Also, Carl, you were right about this being a great kit but by the time I got the rigging wires glued into place between the wings I was about ready to fling this little beauty against the wall.
I ain't cut out for biplanes.

I knew you wouldn't let me down Warren. Another one safely down.
Hermon, go around. You'll get down next attempt. Better hurry though
Justin has a heavy bird coming in. Better clear the flight deck for that one.
Welcome Jan, another jet, great. I like the look of those tiny offerings from revell
Keep us posted.
As for myself, I got the wyvern cockpit finished (bar the seat which will go in later once I get decent
refs for the Martin Baker Mk2b. There is someone here works for MB will post for info.
The fuselage goes together nice. But there is a big problem, no rear wheel well detail at all.
The airwaves PE has a nice box but is way too big for this kit. Meant for the frog kit I think.
I chopped and shaped the PE so I got something that fitted. Not accurate but at least it is
boxed in with some rib detail.
The best AM goodie so far must be the quickboost exhausts. I've no photos but there is no comparison to
the kit part. Deep, dark and hollow. They fit the space with minimum of fuss too.
Well worth the few shekels for them.
I'm giving up on the wing fold. The airwaves set is nice but totally the wrong size for this kit. The Eduard
PE doesn't provide the required detail to make it worthwhile. There is a LOT to scratchbuild in there.
Wings down and loaded up.
Will post some pics tomorrow.

Hi All, Out shopping for cyano and my LHS had a 1/48 Tamiya Sea Harrier F1a for a mere £6.99, (2 pints of beer or a large pizza). Naturally I left it there...NOT. I'll start in a couple of weeks, OOB build but may vary the scheme, unless I can get a cockpit kit...
