Very nice Hornet, Steffen!
I'm deeply grateful for the warm reception given to my introductory post- many thanks! As usual, though, I'm running against the clock, so my lovely assistant Fritzi will get this project, um, into gear!

That's a slick little riveting tool Chuk. And you did an awfully neat job on the free hand rivets as well. Although if a few wind up being a little off don't worry about it. Rivets on real aircraft often stray a little as well.
I might have to beg you for a custom T-shirt featuring your characters. That would be sweet. I bet you could make some sick designs.

All that riveting work (ooooh ... sorry) is really worth it. Makes the model that much more convincing.

the concept and procedure of riveting models is, ummm....riveting ....I am following your pics and description with interest. They certainly do add to the model!
I have just purchased a pounce wheel by excel and will be tooling around with it a bit ...I have a "SPECIAL" FW190 I plan on slapping together soon...

Thanks, guys! Jim, riveting is a zen thing- you must feel The Force flow...
I went to the optometrist this week- and discovered that my prescription was way off! New contact lenses and I can see again! I was getting kinda worried there, but all is well- and the build is on!

Well I thought at first that this was going to be "cute" but you've convinced me with the tail-wheel detail that this is going to be a fascinating blog to follow. The great artwork accompanying the photographs enhances the whole 'read' and I find myself logging on and looking specifically to see if you've posted. You should consider publishing your build logs.
Waiting for the next installment....................
Cheers,
Charles

Thanks, my friends!
I think I've finally gotten this build over the initial hump. Fitting the main resin components is crucial, and it didn't help that one was more than a bit warped. Fritzi, show 'em how we did it!

That was an impressive job you did on correcting that warped resin piece. It was worth the effort. it was extremely well documented too. Almost as good as being there.

Wow is right ! I didn't think you could do that with resin ! Will have to try that on the Copper State Model of the Pfalz xII lower wing !
So what else can you do with the Stove ?
Very impressive build so far

wow great work Chuck. I followed most of your helldiver build but have been away from the forums for a few months. I'll have to check it out.
Love the 410 and nearly bought one on ebay the other day. I will watch with interest.
P.S Love the artwork. and comments as it adds to an already awesome build- very entertaining. I also think that Fritzi needs to go on a summer vacation in Italy/the mediteranean to work on her tan.. if you know what I mean.
Cheers

So many replies- my thanks, friends!
Terry, amazing things happen on that stove. ;D I do most of my work at the sink, though. :O
Bit of a short update today- we washed my wife's station wagon, which is akin to waxing the Saratoga. I drive a Toyota MR2, which is, in comparison, an F4F Wildcat. I swear I could land it in the back of that Volvo! Meanwhile, Pfennig's off on some mysterious errand, so we have a special guest to help Fritzi with today's installment:

It's a good thing that the bikini was invented after war otherwise we wouldn't even notice the Me 410 model being built with the knockout pair of Fritzi and Hannah guiding the construction of the kit.
Great stuff Chuk!
