Hello Chuck I just got done reading your Helldiver blog, simply amazing and entertaining just like this one, your a true artist. I have an unrelated question though, who makes your desk lamp and where did you get it, I need to replace mine its way to old and inefficient. Thanks for your help, Juan Marmol.

Thanks, my friends!
Jean Luc- You're absolutely right! He was just too pale, so I sprayed a bit of Tamiya XF-1 flat black and wiped it down before it was completely dry. I think it lends him a nice, sinister and gothic complexion.
Scott- look in the ten-for-a-dollar bin for any of my old works... Thanks for sitting through my interview, too- ComicCon was a madhouse for four straight days! Here's the link if anyone else is interested: http://www.cgchannel.com/news/viewfeature.jsp?newsid=8841
Juan, the lamp is by Ott Light: http://www.ott-lite.com/p-38-flexarm-plus-lamp.aspx" TARGET="_blank"> http://www.ott-lite.com/p-38-flexarm-plus-lamp.aspx
Excellent illumination with a true spectrum of color, plus the flexible arm is great for taking pictures! I highly recommend it.

s'okay - I have a ton of that from the early 90's speculator boom.
Defiant, Valiant, Continuity, Triumpant, and Malibu (which I actually liked).
Lordy all the crap I collected at Comicsfest '93...

Watch it Michal- I'm only 50- and take bootcamp classes 4 days a week!
Scott, I sold all my comics a couple of years ago. My boss buys 'em by the ton and brings 'em all in to the studio. Lucky me!
Hello to all! Things have been keeping me quite busy lately- hence the lack of updates. It looks like you might not see me again for a couple weeks- sorry! All is well, so no need for worry- the 410 will keep for wee bit more.
To tide you over, here's an old snapshot of Hauptmann Hannah I found in my Uncle Wally's effects. He was tail gunner on B-17 Kitty Hunter, which she forced down in occupied France, capturing all hands and earning yet another Iron Cross. From the sour look on my Aunt's face when I asked her about the event, it seems Hannah was quite flirtatious with the crew and spared them from the wrath of the local Gestapo. Later in the war Uncle Wally was involved in an escape from his stalag, sneaking out in an empty sauerkraut barrel. He made it to Spain disguised as an itinerant pretzel salter, aided by nuns from the Divine Order of Ste. Bertranda the Topheavy. He lived a long and prosperous life, establishing a small but successful franchise of pretzel carts in New York and Chicago.

Even without an update for the 410, you still manage to impress and entertain.
Love that picture. And the surprisingly detailed "historical account".

Hi Chuck,
You should do a comic book about the story of your Uncle Wally. I'd love to see his Pretzel and Sauerkraut adventures in detail...

reminds of an old comic I saw once... probably froma dirty magazine I snuck when I was a kid... least that's what comes to mind....A group of German soldiers were marching and chanting "Eins, Zwei, Drei, Vier. Winston Churchill is a queer!"

Well. it's been a whole month! We've had a family visit, spent two weeks in beautiful Alaska, been busy at work, fixed a leaky toilet and more in the meanwhile. I even got a bit of work done on the ol' 410- Fritzi and friends will show you exactly what has transpired since our last visit...

Great to have you back Chuck. I went out and bought an Ott Light, I don't think it will make me a better modeler, but I sure can see better, thank you, Juan.

Beautiful work. I wait around on Sunday night just to get the updates. I brought in some of my guys to see the build and they all want to marry Hannah. I really like the tips, like the Scotch adhesive for the photo etch, that you provide all through the builds.
