Long before the gunship grey schemes, there were these bright metal birds cruising the skies.

The Revell 1/48 RAF Dakota "Skytrain" thingy?
It should be silver with RAF markings.
Would that do?

I'd like to join in. There's an Airfix Gladiator in 1/72nd over there that would fit the bill nicely.

Howdy Y'all
I'd like to join the campaign. I propose to do a Convair XFY-1 Pogo in natural metal finish. I'm going to build the Kopro 1/72 kit.
Y'all take care now,
Don "Lakota"

Count me in. I've never put together anything without a prop but recently I won a Tamiya 1/48th F-84G Thunderjet in my club raffle, and this campaign will give me the motivation to expand my horizons. I should be able to work it out.

Well, it's August 1 here down under, shall I get a head start?
Nah, I'll just give the sprues a good wash down and prepare the workspace, but I will be watching the clock and counting down. After all, this IS my very first campaign, and my first jet kit, and I am allowed to be enthusiastic, yeah?

Well, I'm off and running but apparently flying solo. VEEEERRRRY quiet in here.
Got started on my first ever jet in my first Aeroscale campaign, so any and all comments gratefully accepted. I'm here to learn.
Moderately happy so far, the belts are a bit ordinary so I need to refine my decal trimming technique.

Slowly slowly, cockpit finished and flat clear-coated, testfitting the gun bay and nosewheel bay and putting wings together. Am taking great care with seams as this will be my first NMF bird.
Anybody else under way yet?

Just finished my build for the two seater trainer campaign (see below and and here), and I really got a taste for experimenting with NMF! Thus, I got to join this campaign! Only question - should I go Mustang or Tunnan?
Here are a couple of in-progress pics of the Sk 37 Viggen that I built for the other campaign;
Cheers! // PolarBear

Very nice Viggen Björn!!
Convincing metal effect!!
a question for the campaign leaders. I started a model inside this timeframe without recognizing this campaign. It has a clear finish over NMF .. would such animal count?
here is the Build thread
and a pic of the actual status still (a few day to finish it)
all the best

I've had a couple of quiet nights (kids in bed early) so things are moving along quite nicely here.
Even managed to get some decals on to the underwing pylons.
EDIT: Amazing what you pick up in photos, like some tissue paper stuck to the paint around the edges of the wheel wells. Some touching up to do there.

I find a drop of scotch in the milk helps. If you can't find scotch isopropyl works just as good.

Nick, if you plan to spend say Thursday and Friday nights at the bench, let the kids stay up late Tuesday and Wednesday nights. They will think you are the best dad ever totally unaware that your motives are ulterior in the extreme.
JP, you surprise me. Do you really think that I would let even one drop of Scotch (or my preferred bourbon) escape my clutches. Perish the thought.
