I believe that might have been me !
Fire it up and enlist fella, you've got nothing better to do now, have you?
And it just wouldn't be the same without your sparkling smile and friendly comments either

All,
I've decided, discretion being the better part and all that, to bow out for now. Life is pretty busy and I just had my own operation (Midway) approved, so I don't want to overload myself. Will watch with interest, however, and you never know when time might open up!
Good luck all!!
Michael

Hey, I've got a boatload on my plate already, but I could squeeze this one in too{what's one more - right?}.....I'l have to build mine OOB since there sems to be less than I expected for PE for this old kit...somewhat surprising.

Damian, I will be cheating by using Brett Greens guide to building the Bf 110 albeit the Eduard kit. Maybe it will help me to turn this pigs ear (Revell Bf 110) into a silk purse.

No problems Bob If you can find me some photo's of the twin-engined version that was active as a fighter in WWII then I say go for it !!

I've gotten in a mood lately...I want to be different. That being said here's some random thoughts on what I want to build;
-Don't see any Hs 129s being spoken for...fighter and...a ground fighter{grey area here/loop hole?}
-No FW Ta 154s spoken for either...9 did make it out of production with very limited service{two weeks}...did fly though{3 fell apart, but hey...}
-I saw a Ju88c was spoken for, but with more info I could make the Do17p1 or the Do17z10 Kaus night fighter that has a Ju88c nose...need more research!
-The O-2a skymaster had rocket pods and mini guns....yeah, I'm laughing while I type this...hey, you've seen my car and truck builds as well as the steampunk steam tank I did...I gotta be different!
-Lastly and the most surprising...I didn't see any B-25 cannon noses spoken for...maybe I missed it!
I'd like to pencil in myself for any one of these;
- Hs129
- Ta154
- B-25 cannon nose
{I did just score a pair of monogram P61s for $10, but that one's been taken too}

Very nice Bob, now we have some research to do !!
I was looking into the use of B-25's as a stop-gap night fighter a while back and found an interesting thread HERE
I believe the HS-129 was purely anti-tank, but maybe it crossed horns with a Sturmovik ("Flying Tank") at some stage. Very thin, I know.
I'll check if any of the Ta-154's actually made operational status, not sure there.
If anybody has any input, I'd be grateful, otherwise Bob has to build all of these kits and take a chance that I might no accept any of them
Cheers, D

Nothing yet D? Well, the Ta 154 did run for two weeks before they pulled the rest...the wooden wings fell apart...must of used old testors glue! Don't forget the night radar to locate other planes........

Well, the Henschel Hs 129 is not valid in this campaign, I'm afraid. It was strictly CAS for the ground troops. As my uncle flew one in Russia I know he just attacked truck convois, bridges, enemy troops, gun emplacements etc. He didn't encounter with enemy fighters (just run and hide...). The aircraft was way too slow for any dogfight! So, no chance for that, Bob, I'm sorry.
About the Ta 154 I have to do some reseach but I think it didn't get over the testing phase ....
About the gun nosed B-25 I'm not sure. Which version do you mean, Bob? The B-25 H with 8 machine guns or the B-25 G with 75 mm canon? At least the "G" was surely only for CAS ....
But .... you can build that good P-61 kit from Monogram if you want .... it will bring you lots of joy and fun ....
Happy modelling
Torsten

This ought to bring joy to D's heart. I found my Airfix P-61 yesterday. I might have something for this campaign afterall. It'll have to be on a pole as the kit has long since seperated from it's leading gear...

BlackWidow, I have the revell B-25j kit, so I was thinking of building her with all 11 guns to bare{2 in the turret/4 in the pods and 5 in the nose= don't step in front of this lady!}. I'm looking for an 8 gun nose coversion or at least a way to convert it........

The above post kit has the "Jaunty Jo" decals, but, I just found the mongram B-25J 8 gun nose kit with "Sunday Punch" decals...if allowed, do you have a preference between the kits? Let me know so I can order the "other" kit if needed- Thanks.
As a backup plan, I did find an article where they modded some P-61 radar pods to make a "solid 8 gun nosed B-25J"...I do have a pair of P-61 kits....looks easy enough but I'd need a few more guns. I'd need some new decals then too...albatros models is out of business from what I've seen - anyone know of another source that's still available for the J model in 1/48th scale?

New players !! Welcome to the table Aaron and Aaron. We are up to 42 enlisted now, 43 once Aaron 611 pushes the Enlist button HERE and formally joins proceedings.
Only 3 weeks or so to go my fellow Zerstorians, get those kits out of hiding and make sure you have all the essentials close at hand to make this a really enjoyable Campaign !!
Torsten (BlackWidow) and I are co-chairs of these shenanigans, so please feel free to fire any queries you might have to either of us.
Cheers, D

Actually, knowing how long it takes for me to complete a build, i better follow the precedents of my fellow campaigners and tackle that Tamiya 1:48 Mossie I have in the stash. I could still be working on the Eduard bird this time next year!
