I have now finished my 1/48 Matchbox FJ-4 Fury. I put in some extra time on it Friday and Saturday and managed to get it done in the nick of time.
An enjoyable build although the lack of detail reflects the age of the kit. I decided to keep weathering to a minimum. Firstly because weathering would be limited to seaspray on a carrier, secondly because there where no panel lines or details to bring forward by washes or highlights.
It was fun to participate. The quality of the builds in this campaign is outstanding!

I opted for wire instead of PE. Considering the wire is free and it's representing... wire that makes it a win-win in my book. Unfortunately it was almost as difficult as PE (may just be me). Next, mask it off and a (hopefully) quick coat of primer. Charlie
