@Chris: Thanks, and I agree on the kit, especially on the price as I ended up haveing to buy two kits to finish it after I lost the gear legs.

@Allen: Thanks, and I can shoot some more on a plain background tonight.

Very neat work on the tempest, will look great on a plain background.

I should get the fury together in the next day or two, the rigging isn't too involved.

As for end of the campaign I'll accept up to end of the 1st Sept on the international date line .

I don't think we have too many stragglers apart from me and steffen. Anyone else?

Also if anyone is not OK with their pics being used in an article, just drop me a PM.

Good luck to all the fellow stragglers in the final 10 days.

Nice builds we have here. I personally like Jesper's Harrier.

Unfortunately, I don't know if I could complete my hunter in time. I have barely even started. I may have to sit this one out.

Thanks John-Paul

And here's the plain background shots (with one of SWMBO's laminated recipe sheets standing in as the background).

Well, seems I am going to make it. (fingers crossed)

The last real hurdle was the vac canopy and thoug it does not look stellar I am o.k. with it. Now some Klear a wash plus a flat coat. Then fitting small parts and I am done.

BTW this represents the machine of P.W.O. Mould who claimed the first RAF-kill in WW2..

all the best

Nice early war Hurricane, Steffen. The camouflage came out very nice and the split white and black undersides adds interest.

Thats a great looking aircraft there Steffen.
Mine on the other hand.... Unfortunately my laptop died the other week and I have had to resort back to the old computer which is EXTREMLY slow and annoying. Bad news is, these are the only photos I could upload. Like I said before, I stuffed the Typhoon and it will be going to my sons ever increasing airforce. Either way, not real happy with the end results, just glad to call them done. Both are Academy kits and the decals played up like everyone says they do....

I will post some decent photos to the campaign folder when the laptop back soon.

Cheers,
Nick.

@Steffen: Nice Hurricane! Love the classic Airframe Hurri now I just have to get one and the decals to do "Cobber" Cain's Hurricane! It's turned out really well fella love the early war camo job!

@Nick: A modeller always sees the faults in his model and they seem glaring. Your models look quite good but I have to admit that I'm only going by what I can see in the pics. I see you had some decaling issues, I must admit to liking Academy decals they actually seem to work for me, but I was using Klear to glue them down on the kit though. (And missing undercarriage doors?) I must admit to not being the best decaler out there mine always seem to fight me regardless of how glossy my models are or how much of the decal setting/softening solutions I use. I can at least usually manage passable, keep trying, your son will love the air force.

Well done Steffen. I like the early RAF scheme.

You are tough on yourself Nick. But finished is finished, good job mate.

As for me I've been away for the whole week so didn't get any modelling done.

I could rush it tonight to get it finished but I'll end up with more work so I'll complete by the w/e.

Thanks for everyones contribution. I think all the photos will look great together in one post.

Over the weekend I'll collate all the photos and hand out the ribbons.

Any late entries I'll award ribbons to till the weekend if I can. But not to myself, I shoulda been more motivated, but life/running/work/kids got in the way.

If anyone wants to submit better pictures that's cool. I'll not create the post of all the models till the w/e and you can always upload to gallery.

Cheers

Thank you guys!

For a CA kit it was quite easy and relaxing .. still there are a few weak points in the build, but I do not want to elaborate

cheers

That's the medals awarded. If I've missed anyone let me know.

I'll write a little text and it looks like Tomcat31, or Allen, will put together the photo article. looking forward to seeing all your great work in one place.

Well done to all the finishers.

Here is the roll of honour.

There no problem with with member submitting their our builds from a campaign as we need as much content as possible, I encourage it.

We have started a new line of features of showing all the finished entries for a campaign when it finishes and the first one can be found Here

Thanks for a great Campaign JP, the designer theme has real merit and I can see a few follow-ons in the future.

Congrats to all who finished, a really nice collection for the feature.

Finally got the laptop back up and running, and as promises a slightly better photo. I tried submitting to the campaign gallery, but either my lack of computer skills or just the damn computer wouldn't allow it for some reason. If I wasn't already going bald, I would rip whatever hair was left out....

Cheers,
Nick.

Can't afford to waste that precious hair resource mate! Could be that you are trying to upload a photo that is too large. Try resizing your pictures and see if you have any more success. If you are in Brisbane and need a hand I can possibly help over the phone...

I've uploaded them for you Nick. Not sure what went wrong as I didn't have any issues but at least you can keep some of your hair

Thanks for the offer Warren but I'm unfortunatley down in Sydney. Thanks for that Tomcat, Im not too sure what happened when I tried, the computer just sat there for about half an hour thinking about uploading it. Its a newish laptop as well and I did the same as I usually do, just must have been the server... Anyway, thanks again.

Cheers,
Nick.
