Thanks for that Sam, so efficient!
Are we all set to unleash a Fury-ous Hurricane on Aeroscale?
Wouldn't want to leave anyone be Hind.

You might want to change Camm's name from Syndey, every time I see it, it makes me think he was a cross-dresser! Lol.
Not sure what to do on this one given I've got several Hurricane's, a Typhoon and a few varieties of Harriers. If I can spare the time, my Special Hobby Tempest II is favourite but I may end up building something a bit easier.
thanks
Mike

That Academy Hurricane looks interesting. It beats the new tool Airfix one in the cockpit department, so now I'm wondering how it compares to the Revell and other offerings.
Glad to see Sydney back to being the correct gender!
thanks

I will be doing the good old Matchbox Harrier one for this campaign. I plan to do it in US markings to be a little different.
I also found some pictures in one of the research magazines showing the harrier in cold trials with green and white camouflage. I might be tempted to go for that camouflage.
More to follow later.

I made a start on my Hasegawa 1/48 Typhoon Mk.IB tonight, but unfortunately didn't get far. There's a part missing from one of the sprues that is needed in stage 1. Of course it's not a small part, it had to be part of the fuselage !! Oh well, I can work on other sub-assemblies for this one, or work on one of the other 4000 campaign builds I've got lined up !!
I'm off to email Hasegawa now to see if I can source a spare sprue.
Cheers, D

Wow, time flies! I'm going to be late starting in on this one, but it looks like we have a lot of really nice builds to launch this campaign though

@ Sam: nice find on ebay my luck is hit and miss there.
@ D: only 4000? I thought that you are the master of campaigns What is your end results when conversing with manufactures for missing items?
@ JP: I looked at the site for HZ and was pleasantly suprised, you have a good reference and I cannot wait to see your progress.
@ Michael: will you be doing a (3) manufacture side by side review on the Hurricane? I kinda like the Idea.
Bob

Bob this is the first time I've had this type of issue. I contacted the Australian Hasegawa importer yesterday and they took my details and said that they would order a replacement sprue for me. I will let you know how this progresses.

Three startes out of the blocks already.
I don't think I've known so many campaigns running at one time. But there sure is a lot of activity which is the aim of them.
That looks a great buy, Samantha. This campaign started cos we don't see so many Tiffies. Really looking forward to seeing progress on this one.
That little hurricane looks pretty useful too Nick. I'll have to try one of them one day.

Thanks it was one of those kits I saw and must own. I love the Tiffys (and the Hunter) my very first model i built was a 1/32 Revell Typhoon I added wiring etc to the engine did lots of weathering, pannel lines, airbrushed it only for the person judging it at the cadet model competition to try removing it from the base it was pinned to. The result one very broken model that eventually had to be binned
Some great starts to the campaign so far can't wait to see more Hurricanes, Hunters, Typhoons etc

G'day Camm-paigners !!
Well I got a very pleasant surprise today when I took my son Joshua to the Avalon Airshow for his 9th brithday. Look at what I found flying around (in close formation with a P-40, a P-51, a Spitfire and CA-13 Boomerang no less)
From what I heard this is the first time that this aircraft has been on public display like this. Now there may be an omen here !! A part missing from the sprue of my Typhoon, I picked this kit up recently at a swap meet, and amongst the goodies inside the kit were these exact markings !!
Perhaps there's a message in there somewhere
I have about 10 more pics of the Sea Fury which I will load into my Photobucket pages later, and I'll post a link for those interested.
Cheers, D

Offline and off bench for the last week. But glad to see progress by others.
That is a great scheme Damo. Surely the modelling gods are talking you into it.
