Hi folks,

This was my Corsair a few of hours ago:

And here it is now, factory fresh:

I'm missing a few details and I'll probably have to reset the undercarriage and weather it etc. etc. but I'm declaring myself done!

Great campaign, great to see a few A7s, pity I spent most of it reading the thread and not building!!

Signing off,

Eoin

Hello all-
I'm calling my Hasegawa 1:48 F4U-5N done!
I used Eagle Strike decals for "Kleenex" from VC-3. Jim Sullivan helped me with pictures of the real aircraft for reference, which revealed some significant differences from the decal instructions. It also allowed me to add the right antennas under the fuselage.

It's a bit cleaner than most of my builds, but photos of the Korean War carrier-based birds seem comparatively well-kept vs. shore-based Marine brethren.
Thanks all for a great campaign, and I'll check back in to see everyone else's work!

Done-ish. I need to hang the bombs and drop tanks, but otherwise she's finished.

Great work Guyz and Galz.

Sorry, but mine isn't going to get finished today. I got the fuselage together and the seams worked out, but haven't finished the wings. Maybe you'll see it in an upcoming Hanger Queen Campaign.

Hi Javier.

You need to make sure that you are still logged in when you get to the Gallery page. If you are not logged in you don't see the "Upload" function.

Click the "Photos" link at the top of the page, then look for the following directory:
» AeroScale » Aeroscale Campaigns » 2011 Aeroscale Campaigns » Corsairs the Sky Pirates
Or just click ->this link.

As Damian says, make sure you're logged in once you get there (sometimes the system randomly logs you out when you go into the gallery). Also make sure your pictures aren't too large. It's best to resize them to 800 X 600 so you don't overload the poor server

Life and Advanced Modeling Syndrome have gotten in the way of my build getting finished in time, but i'd REALLY like to earn the ribbon i designed...

I'll keep plugging along and hope for some mercy regarding the deadline once i am done (but it'll be a while)

Hey Everybody, I'm in the same boat as Vance. Maybe it's a Texas thing.
Yet another half-finished kit... Grrreat!
I need to hurry up and win the lottery so I can quit working, send the wife off to the spa, and pay people to do my chores for me.

Well I will put my hand up as #3 on the not-quite-there list for this one. Some staffing upheaval at work and the usual chaos at Chateau Rigby have left me at about 75% done on this one. I will try to get it done this weekend and throw myself at the mercy of the Campaign Leader for my ribbon .

Superb builds right through this Campaign by everybody.

I don't recall seeing the campaign leader around for while now so I've awarded ribbons to all those that have posted a picture in the Campaign Gallery. If anyone has been missed please upload a picture and post here.

Thanks

Hi folks. I'm still plodding along in what little time I have at the moment, trying to actually finish a couple of Campaign builds. Decals are on now, so we are almost there.

You can always take it over to the Hangar Queens campaign, which was made for situations exactly like this

Yeah, I know, and I'm always late, but this one is too close to the end to put back on the shelf, so I'm just going to get it done now. I'm not too worried about the ribbon, I just don't want another "Hangar Queen" added to the pile !

Ease up Andy, I thought I was finished and you'd have me only half way there

Prop tips was the main thing, they're done now . . . .

The kit came with no prop decals on the sheet, so I have to research what to throw on from the spares folder. Aerial wire, zorst soot and general weathering will be done at a later date (perhaps), along with several other "finished" builds.

Overall, it was a nice little kit to build, no real issues.

A quick question about this campaign. I have got the campaign award in my award list and there's a couple of photos of my entry in the campain gallery, so do have to be a financial member to be included in the final campaign thing on the homepage?

No,that can't be right, because I'm not a member, but my plane is included. Must have been an oversight.
now that you mention it, I notice that GVoakes and Grenadier are also absent from the final tally.

My apologies John, yours and GVoakes was an oversight that I will correct today.

As for Grenadier's entry there are no pictures of the finished entry in the gallery. As the images for the feature is sourced from there, if there are no pictures they don't appear in the feature. You will probably also find that you won't always be awarded a ribbon if you don't upload a picture to the gallery as that is what most campaign leaders use to see who has finished.

I've awarded Grenadier a ribbon and added his entry to the feature this time round.

As a reminder could we all please read This request
