The Kermode suffered catastrophic paint failure this morning, which means that it won't be finishing the campaign
It's a good thing I had another kit entered, isn't it?
Look for the Kermode in a Hangar Queen 2 thread near you.

I hate when paint goes bad Jessica, been there many times before.
Thanks Sean! Look forward to entering the Hanger Queen GB soon, with some builds that are dying to get done already! And I finally found (Duh) the thread that explains uploading into the galleries so we are set there. Also the campaign Ribbon is really cool and I look forward to having it!
Great stuff from everyone!

I'm bringing it down to the wire...
Masked the Tomcat and shot on the grey underside.
Decaling has started and hopefully I'll get this finished in the next day or two. Just hope i'll still qualify for the ribbon

It might do because I copied the scheme and added a few of my own elements to it and used Israeli colours instead.Allen, your F-14 looks great! The camo reminds me of the early Iranian scheme.

Jonathan - fantastic work on the C-2!
Benjamin - I love that Stealth bomber. Have you decided on a name and manufacturer for it?
I know that there is no official extension, but how much extra time are we slow coaches being given? I have the first coat of paint on the Rotodyne tonight. Hand painted as my airbrush is still missing despite searching all over the house. With painting, decalling etc.. I'm aiming to be done by next weekend at the earliest. Is that ok?

Rear steering due to cannon located in nose.
Cannon has 6 rounds for air/air combat with bombers.
Recoil loads shells and the Spit has 4 machine guns as back up

Wow, I hadn't realized how many builds we had over the course of this campaign, until I went back to the gallery. All really good ideas and well done!
I'm glad to have been a part of this group!
Thanks,
Sean H.

Finally got the first few coats of paint on.
I used Humbrol satins 163 RAF dark green and 164 RAF dark sea grey. I didn't base it on any particular pattern, just what looked right. Next up is to paint the undersides black.

I finished last weekend but only just got to doing the pictures this weekend. So without further delay I present to you the F-14 Tomcat operated by the Scorpion Sqn of the Israeli Air Force.
Unfortunately I had some issues with the oil wash and it started to pull the paint off (visible in the bottom left corner) when I came to remove the excess from the wash I don't quite understand why its done that as I used the same method I always use of primer, paint, Klear, decal, Klear, oil wash, varnish (either Dullcote for matt, Klear with a couple of drop of flat base for satin) I was too late in the game to correct it and this will never be a show model anyway
Unfortunately the underside looks a little bear at the moment as when I came to install the 'spice' missiles I misjudged the fitting and the fins stop them going onto the Phoenix pallets side by side. as a workaround the missiles need rotating 45 degrees to fit but now I need to find some pylons to fit to the pallets and the missiles. As soon as I find something suitable when I sort through and unpack my stash I'll add them later on
As always suggestions, comments and critique is welcomed
Thanks for a great campaign everyone

The Tomcats pretty cool. Its not hard to imagine the IDF buying them to replace the F-4 in the 80's.
Quick update on the Rotodyne. Black undersides are now done and it just needs the odd little touch up, paint the exhausts and canopy frames and then put on a gloss coat and she's ready for decals. I'm not sure if the bottom of the the fins needs a little black as they extend below the fuselage line by a few mm's. Any thoughts on this?
