Hi, everyone. Just tried the gallery thingy. No luck yet. Anyone know when it might be up again? I know we were given seven extra days because of the transfer thingy. I guess I might just go ahead and try the Photobucket gig. I'm at work so might be iffy. All the best.

Woo-Woooooo! It worked! There is a Sprue God. Well, I did forget to add my comments. The Vulcan will be going on a shelf in my so-called office. I've always thought of the Great White as "flying" and not setting on the ground. My first model since about '82. Now, what shall I do next...? All the best.

Congratulations JT, on getting an image up and your first build in decades! Compared to my Harrier that iss one BIG bird. Did you mention that you had a 1/144 Tornado? If so, there is the BAE Campaign here and I might look into that with an F3 version.

Cheers,
Jan

Hi, Jan. Hmmm... I also have the F3 and the GR4. Just might do what you suggest. I'll sleep on it. Next to the Vulcan, the Tornado sure does look small- even if it's in a "larger" scale. All the best.

Gonzalo: Now that's one pretty bird. Good job! Might I ask how did the decals go on? Any trouble with them? Once again, very nice--- and shiney!

JT,

I've done a bit of research on both 1/144 Dragon F3 and GR4 and while still many times better than the Harriers, they still have their issues. I haven't joined that campaign yet but I have the preliminary dated pictures and actually started an F3. All I'll say is that it needs quite a bit of sanding and trimming of the wing gloves/roots to get the upper and lower rear fuselage to mate properly with the wings in place. As for size, I have a 1/72 GR version that measures out to about 9" long but the F3 is barely over 4". Oh, and you'll need four or five hands to get the wings and upper and lover rear fuselage together.

@air-aset - Nice clean build of that Hornet and absolutely beautiful end result, Gonzalo.

Cheers,
Jan

Gonzalo, that's a wonderful F-18. Can you take pictures of it against a plain background also? We do feature articles of all the finishers of our campaigns, and we like our readers to look at your model, not all the interesting things on the back of your workbench
Jturner, same for your Vulcan please?

No problem, Jessica. I'm at work ( It never ends. ). Will try and rig something up late this evening. And Jan, yeah, those swing-wings are a concern. We'll see. All the best.

Hey Everyone!

Just read a note by Jim S. that the galleries should now be active again. Way to go Jim! :-) I just gave it a try and my images uploaded to the campaign gallery.

Hi, Jan. Just finally got the hang of posting to the SIB gallery. The Vulcan is on the gallery now. Woo-woooooo! I think Jim_staff deserves a "ribbon" of his own. Great work there Jim! Hopefully he never heard the dreaded "What data?" question. All the best to you Jan and all the guys and gals.
