Here are two pictures of my Zveno with the parasite fighters built and the TB-3 basics done all ready for painting.
The Dornier is built and has had the Undersurface colour (RLM65) and the top surface base colour (RLM63) sprayed on.

Small update: Major assemblies are done. As you can tell I had to use masking tape to keep the wings in place while the glue is drying. Fit is pretty good so far, but will still need to sand down some seams.

So, I had joined up in here a little while back. This is what I'm going to attempt to build:
Just because the parts count is a little weak, I'm not entirely convinced it will be any easier:
The resin castings are beautifully done, although do suffer from the heavy panel line syndrome:
I'll choose the RCN decal offering, but don't really have high hopes with reguards to their quality. If AM decals are required, I'm hoping CanMilAir with come to the rescue.
I'll be starting this tiny project today, and will report back when there is progress.

Miniwing is God tier planes! that's a nice choice.
you've got that right, parts count has nothing to do with the challenge of 144th !
I like the YKraft/Miniwing decals. You do have to do alot of cutting, but the film is very thin and responds well to Micro-Sol.

CanMilAir will definitely come to the rescue. Bill does 4 different schemes for VF870 and 871, and whatever scale you want.

what great and diverse kits we have in this GB.
pbhawkin, a lovely little kit and i really like the camo scheme.
611_sqd, really like the colours, would make a great subject in 1/48, i'm also having to rethink how i do things in this scale as the smallest i've ever done before is 1/72.
mtnflyer, i've never seen that kit before but the resin looks good.
and its not easier to build these kits just because there are not as many parts!
keep up the good work everyone

Using my favorite razor saw, I carefully cut the resin from its casting blocks. Then even more carefully sanded the parts to fit with various sanding stick, pad, and pencil:
Even as nice as the Miniwing castings are, there still remains some required repair issues. I think this one is particularily hurtful.
This happens to be the right wing forward root just at the engine intake. Looks to me to be a painful fix, and I'm considering if I should effect the repair with wing off, or attach it to the fuselage first?
It only looks like an easy repair if it were not for its small size.
The very easy required fixes are shown here:
Hmmm! I'll have to work at this some.

Superglue slivers of paper inside the intake, then build up epoxy putty on the outside to fill the holes. The paper should be thin enough to not fill in the intake too much, and will make the inside of the intake a uniform surface. Once everything's dry you can sand it to shape, especially when you've done some preliminary scuplting while the putty is still wet.

I'm not sure how you always seem to have the answers Jessie, but you most certainly do! I read it three times to set it in my noggin and will now put your outstanding solution to good use. Thanks.

Hi Folks,
My entry for this campaign will be a Harrier GR3 by Revell.
Never done anything as small as this before so I hope my eyesight and clumsy hands will cope.
Cheers
Keith

I cant work on little stuff with less than 3.5X magnification.
ordinary reading glasses from CVS work fine, but
I love my Optivisor.

While rummaging around AeroScale and my model pile I pulled out a DML 1/144 EA-6B kit for this GB. More to come soon.

Here is the TB-3 'beast' with the top surfaces done in AII Green (done in the now unfortunetly closed JPS acrylic paints) and masked ready for the AII grey-blue undersides:

Well, I have not been able to do any modeling since early January due to some major repairs being done on my house. The contractors finished up what they had to do in my model room, and I got it back this week. Yay! To celebrate, I started back on the F-15J and managed to finish up painting the cockpit. Here is how it now looks:
It is not a perfect fit but I think this will look the part. It sure is a big improvement over the solid cockpit area in the original kit!
Have fun model;ing!

I'll not bore you with a photo as all I have done is applied prime to the parts while still on the sprue, first step for my Me-262A.
I'm at a show next weekend so that will see the first parts put together, my bench should be cleared off of other projects shortly.

I am nearing completion now! Final assembly is a lot trickier than I expected, all the mating surfaces are terribly small making glueing difficult.
More about it in the build blog.
