Hmmm..... I wasn't intending getting any more aftermarket for the Lightning, then I noticed how little detail there was in the undercarriage bays! That was Saturday, I ordered a small PE set which arrived this morning, and here it is:
The parts are OK, but the supplied instructions may as well be in Chinese, they make no sense at all. A little research
online gave me a fair idea where to put them.

Hi All,
Some interesting builds happening here so far.
I've done a bit more on my F-16c {Block 30} as I've decided on a 'What If' mixed fictional scheme, serial number and markings.
The Insignia White applied to the fuselage and wings will is for the serials and roundels, which will be painted on using the Maketar Masks.

Hi Everybody, a quick update! Here is a before and after shot of the nose wheel bay, showing the gaps and general lack of detail and after showing the application of a little filler and PE.
.... and the main wheel bays:
And finally, the wings and tail go on!
Keep it up everyone!

Hi Jon,Ok here is a little update
Although there is nothing explicitly written in the rules there is an un-written rule that the same model cannot be built for more than one campaign as this is unfair for other members if you were to get 2 ribbons for one model while other members would get the same 2 ribbons for building two different kits. (the exception to this is the current diorama campaign where you can use an aircraft from another campaign as long as its not the main subject).
Can you please choose which campaign (this one or Night fighters) you would like to use the Corsair for and select another kit for the other campaign.
Thanks
Allen

Hello all.
Got my build started. I'm going small scale with this one, A 1/144 Minicraft F104 Starfighter. I'm going to be building 2 of these kits, pretty much side by side, I'll be building one in German markings for this build. (the other build will get U.S. markings)
Here are the photos of my kits in the box and my started assembly
These are the fist aircraft I've done in this scale and so far so good.

Now it's time for the Goshawk to have some love
I've splashed a bit of paint about some of the interior bits
Once that's dry I can start playing about with detail painting.

Some test fitting
Cockpit and engine. There's not a great deal of room for nose weight in there
Fuselage semi-closed up
Wings
All of a sudden it looks like an airplane

Hi,
Would this work for this campaign? I know it's been started but that was a long time ago and not much is done and what is done will now have to be stripped and re-done.
Cheers Rob.
PS If this is alright I'll put the pieces in some Pine-Sol to strip the paint.
