So I was wondering if anybody would care to partake in a group build of the P-61.No time constraints or expectations just a meeting of the minds enjoying a build and putting are heads together sharing ideas. Just for fun no campaign. Any thoughts?

I finished a Widow for a gentleman who flew one in Belgium and Italy. Unfortunately I lost all my photos of the plane and the model when my hard drive crashed. It was the old Monogram kit and a bear to build over 5 months.
I swore I'd never do another
However, while researching NAS Vero Beach I came across a picture of 4 P-61's on the flight line with VF and buzz numbers applied-so guess what? I'm in for an Army P-61 with Navy markings! Whoo-hoo
Later
ps too cool Justin!

right on man look forward to it. Now I just need to pick which sexy lady I'm going with. Definitely a black bird I do like the ones with the red vents and spindle covers. As soon as my 102 build is complete I will be here building. It will be nice to go back to props for a little while.

I'm in for this, with a Hobby Boss 1/32 scale kit But I won't be able to start it until next year.
I too will be doing a black bird, preferably with some colour on it but definitely with a partly clad young lady on it

Justin,
You know I'm already in for this one. Spoke with my Brother this morning when I met him for breakfast. He's most likely in with a 1/32 P-61.
Are we doing this as a campaign/GB or just as an informal group in the WW11 forum? Thought we'd wait till you finish your F102A build. What's your thoughts?

Justin and I are still kicking around the start date. No end date, just an open build for all to share ideas, and info.

I'm amazed that Damien hasn't seen this yet. Usually he's all over anything Black Widow.

Jessica, Justin and I were kicking this idea around only a few days ago in his F102A Build Blog. This morning is the 1st time that it was posted in its own thread.
Hoping that you will join us.

No sign ups needed. It's just going to be an open, everyone's invited build in the WW11 forum. We'll start together, and as long as someone is still building, the blog will keep on going.

Discussed the Group/Buddy build with my brother this morning and it is wonderful idea. I am going to join in with the HB 32nd scale P-61, built as the B version with all the Avionix interior sets, a number of Eduard PE sets and a few resin upgrades from Relish models as well. Right now, I'm just waiting for the Relish models parts and then I'm ready to turn over the Big Radials and roll down the runway, when the Buddy builds starts.

Me too. And I searched a few online outfits learning just how really expensive most available kits are, excepting the Revell. Not overly anxious to tackle that one.
