Looks good. I'm still waiting for my magazine to arrive - should be any day now.

Should be any week now. I'm glad for the delay - it'll give me time to finish the Mosquito.

According to the Airfix website, "The shipment is due to land mid-July, which means that we'll begin to get your orders out around the third week in July."
So anytime after that I guess

I pre-ordered mine from Axel in Germany, they are excellent on dispatch.

On the bright side - I got my Through the Lens Typhoon book! And the June issue of Flypast featuring the Typhoon at war.

Thank you very much Steve,
Your build of the Typhoon was what made me order the model.
A magnificent display of excellent modelling skill, hope I can come close when I finally get my hands on this kit.
Cheers,
Julian

Morning all, I pre-ordered mine from Hattons some months ago and had an email from them yesterday saying that they're expecting it on the 21st. Still waiting to hear from ADH though.

Hi John,
I live about an hours drive from Amsterdam so it's not as bad as it sounds

Sorry, that was my pathetic attempt at a joke, it would be a long way from where I live.

Rowan, Matt,
Thanks, the offer is very interesting!
I see that one of the version included is the aircraft of Lodewijk Geerts, a Belgian pilot who flew for 609 squadron. That more or less decides which Typhoon I'kl be building.

Hi all, just received my ADH book on building the Airfix Typhoon.
It looks pretty good on first glance, but will need further inspection before I can get an overall impression.
Now all I need is the plastic! (c'mon Airfix)

This has got to be the most popular build blog ever without an actual build

Looking forward to the build when you finally get the kit

While still waiting patiently for the Typhoon to arrive I'll post another couple of items to wet the appetite:

These are some snaps I took this spring at the museum in Overloon in Holland. The first pic is a Hispano cannon with a small section of ammunition belt attached to the breech. I am not sure if the ammo drum next to it belongs with it or not, looking to me very similar to the drums used on Oerlikons.
The second pic shows a rocket projectile as used on the Typhoon. It appears to have been repainted and shows no stencils.
The third pic sports a grey warhead and shows the stencil detail.
My ADH Typhoon and 109-G6 build books have arrived during my holiday, haven't got around to looking yet.
Also received a very elegant package from Rowan containing two huge sheets of decals. More to follow on this subject
