OK here's another "identify this aircraft"......but with a diference. It's a "tweaked" pic of an aircraft model built by one of the members here. So name the aircraft.

Hi Chuck
Possibly even an RAF version, and I think I know who built it... :-) :-)

WOW, I finally knew an answer
Well a little more Aircraft Identification. Identify these two, two engined aircraft
Aircraft #1
Hint: the second engine http://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/15641/medium/Engine_2.jpg
Aircraft #2
This may be easy for some, but I needed an excuse to post photos of these two Aircraft currently being restored to flight status.

Hi!
I am not sure about number one,
but the second is a P59 Airacomet with a fake propeller (to conceal that it is in fact a jet plane).
I will try to find out the first one too.

Gábor - Nope not a Corsair Did you look at the link to the second engine for aircraft #1 ?
You are right about the P-59, and that yellow thing in the foreground just happens to be the wing section of the N9M Flying Wing.

Hi Chuck!
Is the second one a Ryan FR-1 "Fireball"? The answer would be: P-59 and FR-1 then...

Jean-Luc - You got it, both aircraft
The Ryan FR-1 "Fireball" - Shown here getting her new paint job.
and The P-59 "Airacomet" - shown here just out for some Sun.
gaborka was right about the "fake" prop and the reason why.
Both aircraft are currently being restored to flying condition at Planes of Fame.
Over to you Jean-Luc

It is a CV-156 I think.
It had been captured in France, and German insignia was applied. I hope I am right.
Concerning the Airacomet, I have seen original photos during the test of the Airacomet in a Czech magazine. I watched the engine photo as well, but it did not tell me much.

Hi Jean-Luc
It's a Belgian Renard R-36... I think - there are pics of it with an inline engine engine and drawings that match the photo here. It's an aircraft I've never seen a pic of before! Great question!

Hi Rowan!
It's a R-37 in fact... but the R-36, R-37 and R-38 can be considered the same project. I never knew about these planes until a few days ago when I bought a magazine about the Belgian Air Force in 1940. It's quite a nice looking plane. Maybe something to do as a resin kit? :-)
It's your turn!
Jean-Luc

Cheers Jean-Luc
Well, I kind of got it right. Believe it or not, I actually guessed Renard last night from your first clue, but the R 36, 37 & 38 aren't covered in my copy of Janes - and the type doesn't show in any of my lists of captured aircraft used by the Luftwaffe.
OK - with all the excitement over a Golden Age build, what's this little beauty?:

Perhaps some derivative of the Curtiss F2.

Hi guys
It's not American. I'm trying to think of a Jean-Luc type clue... OK!
"Heathrow".
