That's right. Over to you for the next question.
All the best

Thanks Rowan. That as quite an easy question from you .
Name this plane, what was it developed from and what was its intended role.
Andy
P.S As a bonus question, is there any kits of this aircraft :-) .

YF-93A (F-86C), proposed as a "penetration fighter" (B-29, B-36 escort).
And Yes, Anigrand makes a kit of it in 1/72nd

Spot on Chuck.
The F-93 almost made it into production, but fell victim to budget cuts. Only two aircraft were built, both of which had different air intakes.
Now i am definitely gonna have to get me one of those :-) , now how do i sneak it past the Beloved :-)8 :-) .

Hi Andy,
Sorry to jump on that so fast, but you stumbled into the area I'm doing alot of research in at the moment. I may have to break down and get one of those as an addition to my Dio. Merlin will get the humor in that remark. :-)
Sooo here's a new question:
Okay a little flash back (no pun intended). I’m a bit fixated on the B-29 at the moment, so here’s a question about a “famous” B-29. We are all probably familiar with the “Enola Gay”, her pilot Col. Paul Tibbets (retired as Brig. Gen.), and their fateful mission over Hiroshima (included 7 aircraft). Most, probably know the “Bock’s Car” was on the mission over Nagasaki (included 6 aircraft); however, there was one B-29 that flew both missions.
What B-29 flew both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki missions?
Who was the pilot on each of the missions?
On your Mark – Get Set -- Google
:-)
Ah, heck just for fun - Extra Bonus points for naming the B-29 that missed the rendezvous with the other B29s of the primary strike force prior to heading to Nagasaki :-)

They were both escorted by Great Artiste (serial 44-27353, victor number 89), that was piloted by Mjr Charles Sweeney, but at Nagasaki it had been piloted by Mjr Frederic Bock.
An other plane called Necessary Evil was also present, and missed the assembly at Kokura.

Hi,
I think it is time to go on with a new thread.
Once I find a good question I will start a new one, so watch out!
