Jesper,
Thanks for the kind words, my cell phone has a cam fitted so as a short term measure I can use it as a substitute.
Andrew,
I live in Northcote.

Great looking cockpit and engine. There are good details there.
Are you going to show it with open engine covers?

Thank you Jesper.
If I could show the whole engine it would be great, however only the top part appears, then I will cover it.
Today I'll put the wings in the bird.
cheers

Nice progress, Gaucho. Thanks for the update.
The base coat looks good. Not too shiny and not too greyish. What paint/method did you use?

Hi Ramão!
Your P-40 looks very nice so far. What kit is it and what scale? Sorry if you already mentionned it.

Hi guys,
The kit is a Trumpeter 1/32, and the base coat was Humbrol 11 Silver. I like to use Silver instead aluminium because after whole painting process and after matt varnish it appear like aluminium in the peeled areas, "Not too shiny and not too greyish", as you said.
Right now I'm decalling it.

I painted the Hien with Gunze metalizer aluminium base coat, then sprayed it with Vallejo black

Well i finally got my buffalo finished, it was airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics, matt varnished and some minor weathering using oil paints.

Hi all,
A lot of interesting builds have been added in my absence of the past 2 months.
After shifting into a better neighbourhood a little closer to the CBD and still sorting out the other issue, I am using a public computer and will be doing so, for about a month longer as I have done the Tamiya 1/48 'Rex' [Float Plane]OOB as the early version, if I can get the kit decals to behave properly [I might salvage most of them] so that I can finish it.
Otherwise its into the Spare Decals boxes for some suitable replacements.
I've 3/4 done the Trumpeter 1/32 P 38, but sadly that will have to wait a few more weeks before it will see the makeshift workbench [aka the kitchen table].
As I intend to use the Alclad II 'Polished Aluminium' and the Pacific [kit decal] option as for, the the painting its a long way off, more like May '08.

@ Samantha, great little beer keg you have build there.
@ Ted, very nice Lightning. A really good result on the NMF - especially considering it was your first try. Love those colourful markings.
Thanks for participating to both of you. I hope you enjoyed it and had fun.

Ted, that is some absolutely stunning work !
I particularly like the variation in panel colors. What process did you use to mask ? What was the base cost, Alclad or testors ?
I'm about to embark on a P47D with a NMF, so any tips are appreciated.
Cheers

Neil, great bird you have made. This is one seriously big wing span. Comparing the figure to the wings one can really appreciate how big those wings actually were!
Administrators, can anybody help with a solution for Neil, so he can upload his pictures?
Thanks for participating, Neil.
