Hi Dennis
Well done! - I was all set to post a clue tonight.
Yes - it's the SB.3 anti-submarine development of the Short Sturgeon:
Over to you for the next question.

on 12 July 1907 Louis Bleriot flew 150 metres in his type VI monoplane. The question is ,how did he control the aircrafts height?

I think Dennis (airraid) is asking how the surfaces were activated, by the pilot, adjust your seat and try again.

Hi Chuck
As you not so subtly hint - the pivoting surfaces were controlled by moving the pilot's seat.

Hi Dennis
I think the next question should really be Chuck's, as he obviously knew the answer - but here goes anyway:
What's this oddball?

Hi all
No ideas yet? OK - just to either confuse you further or give you a clue as to what direction to start looking... believe it or not, this is the same aircraft!
Have fun!

Hi Nige
Ahhh - well try thinking of a rather more famous monoplane that slipped on an extra pair of wings. That might help as a starting point...

I can think of a certain Hawker aircraft that went from a biplane to a monoplane,,,lol
Does that work?

I was thinking it looked like something that Miles might have come up with (or maybe a pint sized Percival) but slip wing? It's got to be a Hillson Bi-Mono.

Hi Kenneth
Spot on! It is indeed the Hillson Bi-Mono.
Over to you for the next question.

Thanks Rowan
OK. How about an easy one:
What do the Ju 52 and SR-71 have in common?
(sorry, no pictures)

Um, I didn't think it was that hard (or lame?) a question...
It's obviously not performance,
and it's not even the materials used in construction,
but it does have something to do with construction.

Hi Kenneth
Great minds think alike - I remembered only last night that the thread had stalled!
Corrugated skin! I was searching high and low for a much more complicated answer! A real case of not being able to see the wood for the trees...
You beat us fair and square. Post another question and we'll try to do better.
