>Hi all

this weeks post haul was pretty small, but I hope there is more to come today or next week.

First there was PKs 2cm Flak 30 in 1/48 which I want to use for a Kfz. 81 (Krupp) conversion. Maybe I can use the trailer for an Ammo box.

and then there was Arawasi Intl. vol 10

click imgs for more info.

Still waiting for a larger HLJ delivery (Marder, AB 41, ...) and some review samples.

all the best

God My haul from SMW was the worst ever. All I got was the Kagero P-47 Thunderbolt Vol 1 book, a Messerschmitt 110 at War book and a CMK 1/48 M32 recovery Sherman conversion set. The worst thing is I forgot to pick up the paints I wanted

Hi all

yes, this was a good week despite being tortured .. anyone know "Kung Pow" ... the "sadistic psycho lady" scene ... great the quote was (auto?) censored ....

I got some samples:

nice kit see J-Ls review

very good for a CA model ... we'll see how it builds

not bad but pretty simple in some areas (not discussing some shape thingies I have read in www) .. will have to get some WEM stuff to improve it

looks very nice in the box .. riveting is pretty nice ... seems their standard heavy riveter had a day off

Latest HLJ delivery

2 of this ..finally no longer metal chassis ...

sadly exactly the same as the Supermodel kit (no new decals)

cheers

A great bargain for the carrier borne GB.
£8 for this and the airwaves PE wingfold and u/c set.

Really nice kit 150 odd pieces. Is a pretty bulky craft for a single seat prop.

Does the FedEX dude count as some sort of postman?

Yes it does Dave! Nice model you've purchased. Will it be your aircraft build in 2009?

Here's what I've got yesterday from HLJ...

I only wanted to buy the Hasegawa kit in the first place but the Kawanishi K5Y1 (Willow) is such an inexpensive kit (800 yen, about 6,60 €) that I added it to my order. I'm glad I did because it's really a nice model. It's an interesting subject and for such a price it's really a bargain!

Hi Jean-Luc

The Willow is a lovely kit isn't it! I can also recommend Nichimo's 1/48 scale Tachikawa Ki9 Type 95-1 "Spruce" as another low-price kit of an unusual subject that's well worth getting - I bought mine for about a fiver a few years ago.

All the best

I hope so, as I didn't get around to the 2008 finish.

In the mail today was another kit from Copper State Models of the Pfalz D . XII Which only two kits were made > Eric destroyed the moulds after that , was happy with them . so this is what he tells me . Found this one on e-bay !

Also a kit from way back then , 35 years ago now . K&B 's Fokker E.V Collector's Series .
Times have changed since then . Here's a pic of it !

Hi Gang

wow, nice deliveries ..

Terri ... what a horrible kit and you complain about Revell Honestly, are you collecting kits? I would think you rather get Eduards model nowadays ?

J-L .... one small step for man .. one big slap for the wallet .. 48 scale armour is fun and there is a lot out there. I am impatiently waiting for my Tamiya (Supermodel) Opel Blitz and the japanese motorbikes+Kurogane to arrive and I have preordered two Utility cars, two AFV Sd.Kfz.251/1 C Half Track kits and two of the Hasegawa Motorbikes (alone without the "Black Medal") .. hope it does not all come at once .... I also need that AS-2 starter car, oh well

cheers

Hi Terri

Ahh, I see .. .sometimes I feel a bit like a collector myself .. still I intend to build all kits I have .. I know this will not happen, but I do not collect .... yet.

As for bad kits: WWI Biplanes (or more) are already difficult as such and I can fully understand that a bad + difficult kit just suxx ..

cheers
