Many possibilities.
Make one or the other.
Make one of each.
Make one of each in markings that actually met in the skies.
Make them with stripes. Oh, wait, that is the other campaign.
You know I am in.

Like it if I could get Revells 1/28 Camels to match the lonely Fokker sitting on my desk (Werner Voss)

Tuomas it will be late in the fall time , around this time next year . Starting in the beginning of the year my plate is full , or half empty . So need to finish off some projects which I'm hoping I will have completed then .
Carl , now those are some interesting ideas there . Leaves a lot of ground open for this one to swing .
Revells Camel in 1/28 .............Not being a big fan on those kit's it will be a great one to see .
Have they up dated the moldings on this one or are they still the same ones from many moons ago ?

Knowing Revell they are probably the same moulds, I built it .....oh, a long time ago and the Fokker I built about three years ago. I should probably build a new Roden 1/32 Camel and hope no one spots the difference, then I'll have to build a new Fokker as well. It never stops

Jesper , I will need a wing man if your up for it !
If it's the Hobbycraft kit , well it's not bad and would greatly benefit with the Part PE set .

I did mean Hobby craft, OK but why haven't Roden done a Camel? Actually I like Terri's idea but why this pair, Why not a double build of any WW1 pair in the same scale, one from each side Eindecker and Ne11 or DH2, SPADVII or Pup and Albie DIII or Pfalz DIII, DVII and Snipe, Gotha and Comic Camel, if not now then later. Either way Terri, count me in

Terri, could I enter this?
It's a 1/144 camel in resin by SRAM, it's been sitting in the stash for a couple of years and this would give me the reason to build it.

Yes the rules ! And here they are ...........
1. It can be in any scale .
2. You can either do a Camel or a Fokker Dr.1 or both .
3. The subject on which you choose for the build had to have conflict with the other . A brief paragraph of the pilot(s) aircraft and when they saw conflict to be post when your build starts .
4. Any aftermarket accessories can be used .
5. Must be off your own work .
6. All progress has to be posted .
7. Must have fun and enjoy !
Here are the rules for this one . I will need a wing man for this any takers ?
And who will like to design the ribbon for this ?

I'd like to join.
My favourite RFC aircraft is the Sopwith Camel. I don't know what scale yet, but most probably Hobbycraft's 1/32 in Roy Brown's markings. We have an F.2 here at the Canada Aviation Museum, and it's like visiting an old friend whenever I go there.
My 11 year old grandson received a Revell 1/28 Fokker Dr.1 this Christmas. The provided markings are MVR's. So, maybe we can work together on this.
I'm just finishing off a 1/48 Curtiss JN-4 Canuck, then I'll finish another 1/32 camel (Wm. Barker). Then this summer I can tackle this campaign.
I've never posted any of my builds on line before, so this will be a challenge in many ways.
That said, I am committed.

I know what you mean, I went to the RAF Museum at Hendon a few months ago and there was a beautiful Camel hanging from the ceiling at gallery level, sent shivers down the spine. I already built the Revell Dr1 as Werner Voss' aircraft, a pair would be nice. btw the biggest problem with the Dr1 was covering up all that bright red plastic

The Camel in our museum's collection is an F. 2 Naval Camel. It is an original built by Clayton and Shuttlesworth. Not many of those around.
I was looking on line at the Revell 1/28 Fokker triplane kit for references, build tips etc. , and I realized way back in about 1966, I built the same model. At that time it was sold with Werner Voss' markings.
By the way - The Canada Aviation Museum just received a Bristol F2B - I think it was a buy/trade deal for one of our a Heinkel He 162 Volksjagers (we have two) . It was a bit of a controversial acquisition because there are few Volksjageras in existence. However, the museum's mandate is to preserve Canada's aviation heritage, and the highest scoring F2B ace was Canadian Alexander MvcKeever.
I'm looking forward to this campaign.
Cheers.

Terri,
RIGHT! I've lurked long enogh, time to DO something! This will give me the excuse I need to dig into my WWI stash. Thanks for the great idea, and count me in!
Now... 1/48 or 1/32? One or both? Will I actually get something done?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Michael
BTW... Hey Stephen, long time no see!
MNS
Oh, and one more thing. Not having participated in one of these on line thingies, I'm not sure about the ground rules. Does the fact that the contest "starts" in the fall mean that we shouldn't start building until then?
Thanks again!

Well Michael , this is cool . You made it numder 10 ! We have enough to get this going in the fall time now . Time to get this one handed in and make it offical .
To be honest I really didn't think this would lead any where at all . I bought this cool book which lead me to the idea .
