Hello everyone,
1. I need a little help, my post order came today and one item (EDUARD FE219 P-51B)Zoom set came without the insructions. The instructions packaged are for the EDUARD 32 046 Bf-109 1/32) if anyone has the P-51 B instructions I would like to try and obtain a copy. BTW the Bf-109 instructions I can scan and email to any who need them.

2. I am frustrated with finding RAF Dark Green as used on certain US aircraft instead of Olive Drab for topside color. Which Vallejo color mimics this choice?

@ Justin: the Vallejo seem to be ready for the airbrush. What I like is the bottle the paint comes in, it is a squeeze type eliminating the waste that is made by opening regular jars. Still playing with brusing the paint, will have a report for you later.

Bob, take a look at IPMS Stockholm

http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_uk.htm

Looks like dark green is a near match to Tamiya XF-61, Xtracolor X110, Polyscale PCE75 and Gunze H73 & 309. No match listed for Testors.

Check it out.

Justin, the name is Bob, Robert, Rippy, and many other less flatering tags . I do appreciate the Sir that you used to address me with in earlier posts. Shows that your parents taught you some manners and you chose to use the same. But the name is Bob to my freinds. On to hobby stuff, I brushed painted some Vallejo onto the leading and trailing edge of my P-40E wing to see if they were ready for the real paint. Try this link to see what it looks like
http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm230/bigrip74/?action=view¤t=001-18.jpg#!oZZ4QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs297.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fmm230%2Fbigrip74%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3D001-18.jpg%26
I was pleased with the way it applies, dries, and looks afterward.

I had some play time with the Revell P-51B painted the interior of the cockpit, wheel wells, and experimented with an EDUARD P/E for a Tamiya kit. I cut and sanded the face off of the kit control panel and have started to apply EDUARD'S P/E version. So far its not bad but I just started, I thought (a mistake ) that I could liven up Revell's kit control panel with a converted aftermarket and here is where I am at.

I was a good boy and washed the dishes so I was able to play some more with my P-51 . The Eduard P/E is actually pretty good to work with as long as I have my glasses and magnifer hood on and the area blocked off for the flying objects not to go down to that carpet monster . Anyway here are some more photos of what was accomplished. And I really like GATOR GLUE it works GREAT!. The seat is still in progress, just waiting for the glue to set for the rest of the belts to be attached.

I may need to file some off of the instrument panel for it to fit good.

Thanks to all for the kind words. Justin I had to reach way down and cheat to come up to the rest of your level by using the P/E.

Nice work Justin. I should be starting mine here soon. Need to put the wraps on my 109 campaign entries first. Will probably do a "B" as well Bob. Undecided on markings as yet. "Q"
