Been slowly working away and have an up-date .

Fuselage sides have some of the it's framing in place . Gloss black was painted on the insides waiting for the Alclad alum to go next . 1 of the fuel / oil tank is finshed , just need to make one more . Instruments are added to the cockpit structure . Still have a few more bit's to add though . I start on the engine as well and working out how the details go for the carb etc,etc .....Pic's will once the paint is dried .

Wow, just Wow. No jaw dropping emoticons to show my reaction..

I'm dying just trying to drill out instrument holes on a 1/72 kit and here you are creating masterpieces out of thin air and strip stock>

Good luck with this one, I can't wait to see how it comes out.

Still trying to figer out how the engine mount goes and such and the engine as well for the detailing , there seems to be different version on the grnome and just down right confusing . Any tips on the deatiling will be most helpful .

Plugging away on the engine , spending half the day trying to cut these small tiny triangles when it hit me ......Eduards Profile pack of the DH-2 supplied these parts . Valve springs made from fine steel wire . Push rods are stretch spuce and the seats are made from Q-tips !

The kit prop was unusable ----way to thick and chucky . I rob a prop from Rodens DH-4 , which I won't be building away . Out came the sanding stick and this is the results of that .

Well that's all for today ....

Push rods are done ! Boy , working with small aprts can be hard on the eye's . Even though there is only 9 of them it did take some time , but the results were worth it .

Terri,
Great detailing on the Gnome. It's hard to believe what you've done with such a bare bones engine as supplied in the kit.Excellent work that surely gets better with each new update.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

Thank-you very much Gregory .

The more I get into adding the detail myself the more I'm getting into this project and having lot's of fun with it .
This will be the most detail kit to date on which this much detailing is added from scratch and as my skills improve from this experience the better I get for future projects .
I'm a little nervous on constructing them so I will do up a mock wing to practice on . I have the sheet card , balsa wood and double sided tape with scale plans and have been re-reading Mr. Woodmans method . Still a bit more work needs to be done before I get to this stage and the next few days I'm busy so not much time in front of the bench .

Ah, Terri, maybe you should keep the cat away from the cockpit, looks like it left whiskers all over the place..

Really looks good! Can't wait to see more.

Thanks Mark ! Blue wants to know how you like his whiskers ?
Say's he spent a few bucks on the dye for a different look .

I had replacement wings show up in the mail yesterday from a friend . Will go over this and have pic's up soon .
The kit which was sent to me is different then the two I have . Metal parts are different such as the landing gear and wheels . Others bits which came with the kit is control horns for the tail surfaces and control column and throttle .

More to follow soon .......

hi Terri:

Interior is looking good. Yes, working on small parts is hard on the eyes, thankfully 1/32nd is on the ascendency. The seat you did is really top notch and adds to the overall effect of the interior.
Best

Thanks Mark . I'm very happy with the seat and for being my first go at it , it does look sharp sitting in the pit . Speaking of 32 scale . I should get back to the Pfalz and the SE5a ......, but I'm having a lot of fun on this project

Preference, because you're worth it.?

All part of the rigging I assume.
