Hi Terri:

You have really made some progress on this build. Just a great job all around and the rigging is really noteworthy. Very nicely done.

Best

Thank-you so much for the kind comments guys ! Means a lot to me that others are enjoying the build just as much as I am .

Bob , the rigging of the main wings was easy , used to doing lots . But I was a little relunatic on starting the booms . Never rigged this type of a set up before . Once I got started my mojo pick up and it turned out to be not that bad . One just needs to take their time . Still have a bit of rigging to do with the control surfaces but before that starts I need to get the engine in place and do a few touch ups .

I plan on it Stephen for this months model of the month if i can get her finished by months end , if not then there is always next month .

Terri,
Perseverence doesn't nearly describe this little project. You've done wonders with this little gem, and a long, long haul it has been; others would have been less patient for sure.
My compliments, and hope you do submit it for MoM once the last few steps are complete.

Cheers,
Lance

Beautiful work Terri girl, I would loved to make such a plane, but it scares me with so much wire on so a thini construction. You did it perfectly

Thanks Dani for the comment

Not much progress has been made but some work has been done with life turned all up-side down and inside out .

The engine is finally fixed in place and weathered , turn buckles painted . pully's for the flight controls on the main wings are also added . I made these with left over PE parts from the spare box with brass rod . Working on the rudder now and the rigging for this .........

more to follow soon

Slow but steady, she really is turning out wonderful. Especially with the adventures you've had with the build that would have stopped many of us dead in our tracks.

Thanks Keith , it has been an adventure , but an enjoyable one so far .
I did spray the blue on the rudder for the national marking last night , tonight will be the red . Once dried post shading will follow then it's just a matter of finishing the rigging .

Terri, thanks for sharing your build experience with us and I am still practicing your wood grain technique with varying results so more practice. I am still amazed at what you have done with a vac kit.

Wow Terri!
Very nice finish..by the looks of the rigging methinks a nice DR-1 or DVII build should be next just to give your eyes a rest...............your patience certainly was rewarded.

Cheers,

Wow Terri at last. A long and sometimes frustrating road build. One many of us would have given up on long ago. She turned out beautiful, espcially thinking back to many of the obstacles you've overcome with her.

Hats off to you Ms Werner, wonderful work.
