Helicopters are excellent ! What a great campaign !
I'm going to jump in in the final month with this 144th Anigrand kit
It's a Bell XHSL-1
I hope to find time to finish this before the end of the year.

Wow, Jonathan. Very interesting kit and build. Looking forward to see more!
A little more progress on the Hind. The Hind really has an impressive weapons load. Construction is progressing slowly but surely.

Progress update.
Finished the interiors and managed to close the fuselage. This kit has a horrible fit, poorly moulded parts, etc ...have a hard road ahead if i have to finish it before the deadline
^^The instrument panel. Decal over the kit part.
^^Final checks before closing it up.

That poor old Revellogram Hind has always had "approximate" fit
I've built it one and a half times (Hmmmm, Hangar Queen 2 candidate?) and it was a struggle each time.

Well... that is reassuring... I have one of those hinds in my stash as well... It may very well stay there. Keep at it though! I look forward to seeing the progress!

I got started on the XHSL last night.
The engine is captive between the fuselage halves. The big Pratt and Whitney radial amidships is really a peculiar design, and was not a great success.
It's a start ! Couldnt ask for a better fit.
I really like Anigrand kits. just nice stuff to handle and work with.
The interior provided is just a pair of seats, Ill scratch up a little more, no shortage of prototype pictures on the intertubes.

I added an instrument panel to the cockpit interior, and made up the front rotor post extension, which is not included in the 144 version of this kit.
looks ok. as said the canopy is a little foggy so you can just barely make out whats in there.
I also got the tail fin brackets on, but there is some futzing yet to do to get the fins to hang straight.
next stop is paint shop for some gray primer.

yes, just like in that last photo. hope to get her painted tonight.
I have a little group of 50's Sea Blue navy planes now, two different TMB-3's, an SB2C, a Corsair, and now this helo, and more to come.
None quite finished yet, I keep starting another one!

Nice progress, be careful around that canopy though. If you're like me you'd have a big fingerprint on it by the end of the build.

Some really nice builds going on in here.
As to Airwolf, well I've got the fuselage together

Now for filling. Lots & lots of filling. The intakes for the fake jet engines on the side are going to need a fair amount of work.,

Nice progress, Jonathan.
Is that a gun platform on the side of that little bird, Lapman? Or a special forces platform?
I have made some more progress on my Hind. Painting still in progress. Due to the size of this thing I went for brush painting as the masking would drive me crazy and I really love the crocodile/mickey mouse ear camouflage.
More to follow.
