The F-82F has been sanded and the canopies were put on yesterday. Since I was lazy about dipping the canopies in future, I tried to brush some on after the canopies were attached... When I looked a couple hours later there was a tiny piece of fuzz stuck to the inside of the radar operators canopy. Barely noticeable, but grrrr... I tried to blow compressed air through the landing gear hole on the underside with the airbrush @ 50psi... the air shook it around but didn't dislodge it. Oh well
Anyway, I will be away on business the entire last week of June so I may not finish in time. I think I definitely could with an extension through the first week of July though, so just a heads up.

Ayhan: Excellent work! Don't forget to post in the gallery.
I could probably be persuaded to give a small extension, but only for a week or two! Do I need to do anything official with the administrators?

It's your campaign; you get to decide when to stop giving out the ribbons. The campaign thread would stop being "official" after the stated end date, but that's no obstacle to a reasonable extension.

I am a bit behind the times in getting my model finished. The stretch run is upon us and I need to get mine done. I have been haphazardly looking at the models posted here. In saying that I have seen many excellent finished models and an inspiration to me. Thus my progress shots here to view. I added some appliqué armour around the cockpit. Which monogram supplied some patterns. A tad sloppy will try and tidy them up. Used Kagero's book for reference and painting suggestions. Also helped for orientating the supercharger intake.

I don't think this P-61A will get any more finished before the end of the month as I am away for most of that time. I will add the three outstanding parts (lights) but apart from those and a little light weathering this one is finished
I have enjoyed this one a lot but there are a couple of weak point in the kit. The forward crew ladder and the double dipole antennae on the sides of the fuselage should have been pe, I failed to get them off the injection sprues, and there is nowhere to put nose weight hence she is a tailsitter. I think she will have to be anchored to a base. Apologies for the poor photos I'll try and get some better ones

Andrew, Congratulations on a terrific build. She turned out marvelously....love the pin-up nose art....Hubba hubba!
That is one impressive black bird.
The diorama idea sounds great. Didn't Shep Paine make one of his incredible dioramas with a Black Widow getting maintenance done to it??? Maybe?
Again Great job.
Bill.

We've had a great crop of wonderful models come out of this campaign!
Yes he did. It may be seen along with several others done for Monogram at around the same time on this page.

That was my thinking, and why I left the cowls loose. Could be a job for a future campaign. Great campaign here with some beautiful builds.

Hi
Been awhile since i last posted on this campaign, but i believe i can still manage to finish my bird on time.
Here are a few pics, interiors are almost there, so i anticipate a week or so to close fuselage and assemble wings & engines.
